I plan to take p1 and p4 in sept exam.
We can organize a car pool to save the transport cost.

Failed p7 at 2nd attempt. And failed p6 at 1st attempt.
Shall I retry for these 2 subjects? Or change to p4 & p5?
Any good lecturer for recommendations?

Hi, I failed P5 2 sittings ago. Hence, I am thinking of switching to P6. So would you recommend that i take P6??

p1 prefer Daniel Chee (LSBF)
p3 prefer Philip Woo (SAA) , some prefer marty from (FTMS) or dominic from (LSBF).

Hi Elainelife,
I am taking P1 from LSBF (Mr Daniel Chee) and just signed up today with Kaplan (Mr Andy Tan) for the P3 catch-up class. Mr Chee is good with many real experience stories to help us understand and remember the topic he is teaching. No comment for Mr Andy Tan yet but recommended by the forumers here to take up his class. Hth

I took p1 with mr Chee and didn't make it. I have gotten 45marks. But of coz I have myself to blame as I didn't study hard enough. Hmmm, maybe I will just take up revision classes with Mr Chee

Hi all,

Anyone can advise on optional P papers. I currently thinking of P4,6 or 7.
1. which paper has traditionally the highest chances of passing ?
2. which one is theory based on more numerical in nature ?

took p6 and p4 before.

for point 1-depend u like theory or number. if you like number then p4 is for u as it has formula to calculate those M&A thingy and support your number with explanations.

P6 is more on tax law, tax planning which you need to have good grasp of tax knowledge so u can give advise

for point 2-P4

hope it helps:)

Retake for only $100-$150!

received an edm from BPP@M2 that retakers can sign up with them for crazy low price. Thought it could benefit someone here.
f1-f4: S$100
f5-f9: S$120
p1-p7: S$150

all with gst already and also eligible for their pass assurance.
they call it "pay only once for each ACCA paper", so i believe retake until you pass for max 2 times??:s11:

Here's the t&c
- valid from 1-21 Aug
- max 2 papers
- show proof of failed papers (dec'14 and jun'15 sittings only)

i think they really outdone themselves this time. keeping it real by focusing on helping retakers to clear with just a cheap fee. :)

but they like not assuring you will pass on the first attempt leh. more like assuring you ok you fail, nvm, come bpp try us again. reason? because we are cheap. gives me mixed feelings. :s22:

mmmm..... interesting way you see it but it wouldnt be sustainable mah. i dont think so la. BPP can say is the most high end acca providers internationally already, if you go UK or have lecturers from there before, they will tell you they are the top choice for students and famous for their pass rate, hence the above average pricing on BPP website in pounds, they are everything but cheap (i wish..:s8:). The only reason why it is so affordable in sg could be their intro discount. Since it is the same product, their pass assurance covers regardless of country. Looks like they are targeting those repeated failures? this group either had enough of paying thousands on the same paper and went the self study route (and still fail) or have simply given up mid way.
