heya, attended yesterday and my frd signed up for 2 papers, one for june failure and one new paper (15% disc). what do you wish to know?

Wanna ask for advise from experts here. How to revise for P1 & P3? Do I need to read both textbooks or read lecturer's notes and do exam qns are enough? TIA?

Hi da_dum_tss, few qns:
- How was the info session?
- How long was the session?
- Did you sign up any paper too?
- Did your friend submit document to show that he failed the June paper?
- When does the online class starts? Do all the students go online at same time and watch the lecture live and then post qns to be repkied immediately?
- What is the day and time like?
- No notes or anything, just url for students to go online to read the textbooks and notes etc?

- How was the info session? conducted by the Head of programme
- How long was the session? 1.5 hours only because we were asking alot of qns
- Did you sign up any paper too? ive already done so, this is my second sem with them, i passed my 2 papers for june sittings with them.
- Did your friend submit document to show that he failed the June paper? my friend didnt bring so we printed it out there using their laptop.
- When does the online class starts? Classes start late Aug, they have another class for Sept, but going for the latter will mean shorter semester. both are for Dec exam. There is another lady there who signed up with them for Sept exam since she is taking it in msia, they do have a jun-Sep intake which is ongoing.
- Do all the students go online at same time and watch the lecture live and then post qns to be repkied immediately? nope. It is combination of Online Classroom (i.e. studying at your own schedule via individual portal, there is a progression ladder with steps, topic, videos, mini assessment done in the platform, tests in sequence) and Online Classroom Live Revision which are 4 sessions of LIVE 3-hr revision classes one month prior to exams, these are LIVE also Q&A is instantaneous and we will also get lecturers email to ask qns. these live classes are intensive exam revision classes covering techniques, tips , 'must-knows'. They will be recorded also so if i really cannot attend, we can view the recordings.
- What is the day and time like? With reference to the point above, the Online Classroom Live Revision will be held in the evening for 3-hr each. they are in November.
- No notes or anything, just url for students to go online to read the textbooks and notes etc? There are course notes, exercises, video classes, LIVE focus sessions, revision notes, assessments, objective tests which are progressive as you work through the "ladder", forums to ask questions, email of lecturer.

few other things you might want to know
- no need to buy books, everything is in the account already. BPP Study book and Practice and revision kit are referred to as "reference materials" which can be viewed online.
- this promo price for people who failed, is the exact same programme as the full price that i paid in june so very wu hua.
- they have this pass assurance thingy because they very confident with their pass rate, so if you fail, your next semester for the same paper is FOC.

I've made a separate appointment and went down at a separate timing, which is probably better. During the session, he showed me everything I need to know with regard to the online class.

- How long was the session?
From the moment I stepped into BPP to stepping out after signing up - 50 mins

- Did you sign up any paper too?
I signed up for 1 paper.

- Did your friend submit document to show that he failed the June paper?
You need to show. You can log in to your myACCA on their laptop and print.

- When does the online class starts? Do all the students go online at same time and watch the lecture live and then post qns to be repkied immediately?
The online class start on 28 Aug. You can go online whenever you want, and the question can be posted on their forums where it will be answered by students or staff

For the live revision class, it is in Singapore evening. However, everything is recorded so you can attend any time you want.

You can always print the notes etc from the online portal :)


Basically, for the retaker's price, I think it is a very good deal. No harm trying it out. Also, they have the "pass assurance", meaning to say, if you do all their online assessments etc and still fail, you can re-enrol back to the online classroom next sitting for free.

1. They only open on weekdays till 7pm. So the infor section must be arranged before 7pm? It'll be very rush for me to reach there by 7pm.
2. For p6, they only offer uk variant. If we take the uk variant tax, will this impact us when we'll apply CA singapore?

Yup, it must be done during opening hours. However, you can try drop them an email to see what kind of arrangements they can do for you.

DO NOT, DO NOT take UK variant tax. Firstly, it is harder. Secondly, it is not applicable in Singapore at all. I think it will affect application to CA Singapore, but I am not sure. Either way, for the above 2 reasons, it is quite unwise to take UK tax.

Therefore, do not sign up for BPP online P6 or F6.
