What's a good place to get an August version of this monitor from bros? Is there anywhere that will allow for inspection/trade in if there are dead pixels/BLB is too bad? I'm willing to wait till around dec if that's a factor. Thanks.

well this is quite hard lei...unless u willing to give up those online discounts and offers. can consider finding challenger or gamerspro...other shops im not sure who else is also possible selling aug batch.

as for trade wise for dead pixels i think can, blb i think they still ask u to contact acer though

I am saying that if u want to inspect that way, no matter what u still have to visit the store to inspect and just buy it off. cos whatever batch they selling online we wont't know.

yes, that is one of the possibilities but we cant be sure of that as well, since some members manage to get aug batch and some get previous batch on a same particular sales.

If you get it from Hachi, you can choose to pick-up from challenger stores.
They have 7 days return policy from what they told me when I picked mine up. You may ask nicely to let you test on the spot..

Just order it and claim the on-site warranty from Acer SG if you face an issue...my experience with them was quite good.

Sorry to bump this up but I in need of some opinion, Should I buy xb271hu first or upgrade mine graphic card first. Currently I running on gtx 970 sli and mostly only playing bf 1 / total war. Some opinion will be great…

tbh depends on u lei. if u need high refresh rate den get this monitor 1st, but total war im not sure if it needs that high refresh rate or not

but since u already sli why still want to upgrade?

i believe when u sli the performance of 1440p @144hz should be sustainable. (unless u dun mind tone the quality of the grahpic)

True about the gpu part just that lately the subpar sli support is pushing me back to single gpu thought again....(gtx 1070 etc)

Look like i should buy xb271hu first, butter smooth 60fps i happy enough...(since i believe g-sync help below 60 fps to a certain degree)

My problem is that when i watch youtube videos, i get a line down the middle, its quite distinct. But this line does not appear for Twitch videos or for games. I tried some of the solutions like turning off ULMB, turning off and on the monitor, but the line will still be there when watching youtube videos. Is it possible that its my GPU giving problems?

You need to check the early pages of this thread.

Call up Acer SG and ask for them to pick up your monitor to do a firmware update. It'll sort out everything

I'm using this monitor with 980 Ti. No issue with display port so far. Everything is working smoothly.

Using Gigabyte 980 Ti. Connects to XB271HU just fine. Just use the included DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor. Never heard of incompatible issues before. Don't know where you got that information from.
