Yes.. It is still worth it to get the monitor.. Gsync works especially well if your fps fluctuate as it eliminates stutter and tearing.

However you might be stocked at 1080p or 720p for that matter for your gpu until you upgrade

Hey guys my monitor just died and I'm thinking of getting this monitor. I'm currently using a gtx 670 but I plan to upgrade once kabylake and the new nvidia ti cards are out. Will my 670 be able to run this monitor before I upgrade?

Also, the games I play are mostly immersive games like dragon age, witcher 3 etc. is it still advisable to get this monitor? I understand that the higher refresh rate is mostly for competitive fps games.

I am using a GTX 670 right now with XB271HU.


You can play at medium setting fine... But dont expect above 60 fps at any title even at 1080p.


Unless its CS:GO, L4D2 etc.

Not as boot drive only. Its both boot and storage till optane drive is out. That is also the same time i will change to the new pascal single gpu flagship to allow more pci e lane for my 2 drives.

The sli build i am planning now is definitely not long term...

Predator did have a 4K IPS display with G sync, but its XB271HK and it is not available in SG AFAIK
