Unless ultra wide. Otherwise none

I see.. I was actually thinking of going ultra wide but I heard certain things not really optimized properly for UW

But the new UW coming out next year that is 1440p and 200Hz looks tempting, just not sure if UW will be for me

Not curious about 4k?

XB271HU users: If you were to upgrade your monitor, what would you upgrade it to?

Predator X27 obviously :s13:

I just purchased a PS4 and am playing it on my XB271HU

Is there some kind of hotkey/manual binding I can do on the monitor to make it switch from DP to HDMI input more quickly besides going into the menu? It takes 3/4 presses and is quite annoying. Or is there any way to set up some kind of remote to control the monitor input?

Hmm iirc, the x34a has it. First press open the ports window, 2nd press toggles it.

At least 1 shop has released the retail price of the 4K 144Hz HDR G-Sync monitor with that Tobii eye-tracking Acer Predator X27 at $2998.

This is a more than double price increase from the XB271HU that released at a retail price of about $1110.

The price could get you a 55" OLED TV.

Maybe it might be time to consider the Asus equivalent, the ROG Swift PG27UQ, which does not come with the Tobii eye-tracking?

What do you guys think?

By this pricing, you can almost gauge that the new HDR high refresh rate monitors from Asus and Acer are gonna start no less than 2k SGD. Kinda stupid. LG 55 C7 can be purchased at $2,600 today. Btw, the Tobii eye tracker itself retails for 159 Euro which comes to around $250 SGD. So essentially it's still more than $2,500 just for the monitor itself. Paying so much for a VA panel.

no gpu can even support 4k 144hz yet lol. titan xp shd be doing abt 4k70fps? 27inch scaling for 4k shd also be another issue.

Yeah totally. Even the new 200hz 3440x1440p panels from Asus and Acer is overkill for today's tech. There is HDR too but I heard it adds input lag as well. I think next wave of new monitors with the high refresh rate panel, HDR and Quantum Dot gonna be ridiculously priced. Will wait out till it becomes more mainstream. Not worth dealing with all the initial problems for such an expensive monitor. Best sweet spot now is 21:9 @ 1440p. 4K honestly not feasible at this point unless GPU tech really catches up.

Looks like huge 65" 4K Gaming monitors are coming to the market this year too. High bet, it is leveraging HDMI 2.1.

Big Format Gaming Displays: 65”, NVIDIA G-SYNC, 4K, 120Hz, HDR (Quantum Dot Display), SHIELD Built-In. Acer, Asus and HP will be releasing them this year. Lower latency than typical 4K TVs.

But since HDMI 2.1 is supposed to have dynamic refresh rate built in, I think we can expect LG OLED TVs to have it soon. If not by this year, then next year as well.

But goodness. This is a surprise indeed.

You can read more about this 'Big Format Gaming Monitor' as stated by Nvidia here.
