The organic version is creamy type, and contains 1% or less of salt.

So you mean you die die need to have 0% salt? Hmmm.... wonder what is the big difference between 1% salt content and 0%? How will the 1% affect our bodies? Can anyone enlighten me? :s22:

yeah just saw the organic one has not the much salt too... ntuc J8 has the organic crunchy. Think stop eating peanut butter for a while after reading about it few posts back

sodium is only 50mg per serving for organic...half of the normal one.

Actually whats the difference between Adams n Skippy. Some say Skippy has more sugar? Was comparing the carbo content, it's the same for both.

Skippy tasted wierd also. After tasting real, unsalted, nothing else added real peanut butter.

Actually, after tasting and eating pure or the very best type for some time, you really do not wish to go back to a lower grade or 2nd best version.

This is my personal experience..... :s13:

Personally i had tried two versions of the Adam Peanuts butter. The salted crunchy version, and salted creamy version.

Crunchy version tastes slightly better for me, and they get sold out pretty fast as compared to the creamy versions. They are definitely way way better than skippy. A little tacky for me, but still doing well.

Read that some of you are actually taking/buying the unsalted ones. Where do you guys purchase from? Price?

Should be same price, but sometimes they don't carry the variety.
Adams has the following variety:
Creamy unsalted, creamy salted, crunchy unsalted, crunchy salted, and the last and the least and to avoid: creamy no stir

Strange thing, IIRC skippy is more expensive than adams. Oh well, you're paying for the advertisement and occasional free gifts.

I think lots of filler additives which is why taste is different.

See the label, it said contain 2% or less vegetable monoglycerides which contain trans-fat.

Interestingly, if you see the label, trans fat is listed as 0g, but if you see fda label requirement, for trans fat, if less than 0.5g then can be listed as 0g.

This open loophole for food manufacturer, as you can see, they only list per serving value (33g) vs normal labeling of 100g. Because, if it's 100g, the trans fat will be around 1-1.5g which they have to print out.

cos it doesn't taste as nice. and it taste more salty and stiff. thou the creamy is hard to stir iniially, but after the 1st stir, it'll be easy to stir from then on. and it's much much more tasty than the no stir version.

Good point
here's the link: Talking About Trans Fat: What You Need to Know

Quote
"Check the Ingredient List on the food package for partially hydrogenated oils. The Nutrition Facts Label can state 0 grams of trans fat if the food product contains less than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving. Thus, if a product contains partially hydrogenated oils then it might contain small amounts of trans fat even if the label says 0 grams of trans fat."

But to be fair eating 100g of peanut butter basically makes it an entire meal. too full to eat anything else after that.
