Are you healing better now?
sflr, yup idk how to compare it to a normal banana but it's regained most of its colour, just some patches here and there that are still gray, sensitivity is there, and the area they did emergency surgery on was near the frenulum, and it stretches about 1cm down. that area is still pretty swollen and throbs all the time, but it's expected to heal over time

omg isnt it painful?
what's painful?

if you're referring to the actual cut area post surgery, it was painful for me for the first week, but i was not on any painkillers so that might have been a factor. i was told by a friend who did it about a year ago that he felt just little stings, like pinches occasionally, but it was a numb and dull muscle-ache like feeling, and not of actual pain, unless he touches or rubs it by accident.

My understanding is, in SG circumcision is only subsidised for Malay. For other races, must get a recommendation from doctor that you're doing it due to health issues like infection, rashes, etc. Without it must pay full price.

Hi, can i check how did OP manage to get such a low price for the ops?

Im kinda tired of stretching my phimosis and almost had a paraphimosis that day. I am currently quoted 400 (probably after subsidy) at KTPH.

Anyone done theirs at KTPH? Able to share some feedback? Looking to go back to work on the second week.

1.Healthcare subsizied as nsf..Can't precisely rmb exact deductions as I was 19 as NSF back then. During my time, common for NSF to exploit the system for cheap wisdom tooth/circumcision surgery. Many did either 1 in my platoon near ORD. 400 sounds good.

2. "Looking to go back to work on second week?" Bro, you must have some superhuman healing powers :s13:

I just made the op appointment date at KTPH. Did not know how much it will cost, the doctor will tell me one week before the op day, but it is under subsidy. Doctor said it should not be so much.

How are you bro? In which way did the doctor cut the skin? My doctor told me the laser cut is for kids not for adults, and it needs general anesthesia, cannot not be local anesthesia. Is it similar like yours?

Its relative. My father did at 30 yr old, he told me took 2-3 weeks to heal. I did at 19 yr old , took me abt 1 month. For pain, if no complications arise, really bearable. I'd say 2/10 on pain scale..

That’s so cheap!

Hi Bro,

I'll just post my experience here.

I was quoted 485 for the final bill which I did not pay a single cent, all 100% from medisave. The final confirmation will be maybe 2-3 weeks from now. Need approval time for the medisave. If there is no complications then I think the price will stick. My next appointment is 6 weeks from surgery date.

For the surgery, I did not ask much about my cut style and just went with it because anything will be better than phimosis. I underwent GA, meaning to say I went to sleep. It was okay, not much pain, hardest part was the injection to the hand that supplies the GA.

Its day 3 now, still feeling quite sensitive but it has reduced by alot, can wear underwear and walk slowly now. Bro is still swollen but the painkiller given has reduced it by quite a bit, peeing and having an erection is still quite scary so i am doing it very meticulously.

Overall, pain wise is 1/10? Its only erections that hurt slighty, I do not classify the sensitivity under pain.

Now is just the waiting game, not sure when I can resume action but doctor suggested 6 weeks. So I will try to endure, else if it looks recovered in my eyes I will try to test it out. haha

It's true!

I got quoted $300+ for the surgery in nuh after being referred by polyclinic doctor.

All payable via Medisave, so $0 damage from me.

Of coz medisave also our money la, but can use just use right.

I just done mine at Sengkang Hospital yesterday.

Injected GA , so no feeling at all. All done in 2 hours.

Pain level 1/10. Total cost $1600. But subsidise by gov and cover by medisave. Zero cash out.
