But why they (and those competing 'Best' **** sores) don't practice them right from the start?
Many reasons. Some still die wanna earn more. Some shop just sell on their own pricing instead.
One main reason was distro dont want shops to spoil market. If everyone starts to spoil market then what is left for pc diy to earn? Although yes we all know that our local shops and distro still earn quite a decent margin (dont flame me when i used the word decent). But if shops are hungry for business and wanna survive, they will by all means try to do ugly sales. They dont wanna earn decent. They just wanna earn less, but i draw large customer to earn some profit. And other stores will find it not fair.
For what i do know is some shops still record in black and white per items sold and list down the price.
There was one incident that i quote customer $1 profit for a ink cartridge just because boss wanna clear stocks and business has not been good. And we would like to take all this money and do other forms of product investments and furthermore the turnover was too slow. For that i still remember some customer still complain and scold me say that i sell not good pricing. Pain in the arse when she herself never bother to walk around and check prices. Unless some other shops undercut my pricing lah.
