Advice for PC build

Hello,
I need a motherboard recommendation.

I had a Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 but unfortunately it spoilt.

My CPU is ---> 12th Gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i5-12500 3.00 GHz

Ram is:
DDR4 3000
DDR4 3200
600W Power supply

I don't game so I won't have a GPU.

It will be used mainly as a Plex server.

Not sure how much I want to spend but would like to get something comparable to what I got at the the time for the Z690 in 2022.

12500 is a locked cpu, and b series mobos can do 3200mhz ddr4, so paying the premium for another replacement z series mobo is quite a waste of money. i would just go for a decent cheap board like the msi pro b6/760m-a, which can generally be found for around $250.

So because I'm not going to overclock (locked cpu), then no point in spending the money? Thanks, that's good info.

since u are ok with buying from amazon, the msi pro b660m-a for just over $100 would be a great choice. bluetooth usually comes with wifi but since this board doesnt have wifi, bt is not present either.

highly recommend u change this too. good gold rated psus with 10y warranty are quite affordable from local shops these days.

for peace of mind, 750w has more headroom since that gen of gpus (rtx30, rx6000) was notorious for power usage spikes; tpu claims a 550w 20ms peak for the 6800xt, though in general power consumption while gaming is around half that. a higher power unit would be better able to accomodate such spikes without tripping, though it may not necessarily increase ur power bill since power consumption is dictated by how the components are used rather than the power capacity of the psu. a more effective way to lower ur power bill is to reduce the power consumption of the cpu and gpu, which can be achieved by either lowering the power limits, which reduces performance, or undervolting at the expense of some stability.
