Thanks bro, yeah that's what i am thinking of too, cuz at least no need find parking lots and stuffs. Only thing is that hotel is at ferringi and therefore to airport maybe slightly more ex.

Batu ferringhi is tourist place so things more ex, but you got yourself a beach.

Every year Penang and other cities in Malaysia will flood, just need to get updated news on which part is not flooding.

Just back from penang. It is difficult to drive due to traffic and parking. Grab is highly recommended.

Heading up there for a 3d/2n short getaway next week and is considering if should rent a car or move around using grab? It would be 2 of us travelling. Would anyone be kind to offer some suggestions? Thanks

Have anyone travelled from Penang to Langkawi island by ferry? How much and how far ahead need I need to book the tickets? Can someone share if the journey is very chompy?

definitely. Within seconds, your booking will be confirmed. Just make sure your location is detected in the grap app, eg, arrival G1 - 5 ( Gate ) , and be at the area.

Once out of the airport restricted area , walk straight out towards the doors, that should be arrival gate 4 or 5,

even during weekday evening peak at 6pm, it cost only around RM24 to reach my hotel in georgetown from PIA

I have travel from Langkawi to Penang. By ferry very slow, I think is 3 hrs. I choose by flight, only 35 mins. Both airports are very small so 1hr advance is enough.

Booking normally is 300 rm per day/8hr for normal car. Grab short distance is about 5 rm. If your group going to move around together, then booking a mini bus/van will be good.

10am - either goat farm/ fruit farm or the butterfly farm
5pm - rainbow skywalk / komta
7pm - dinner at new lane hawker / Medan Selera Taman Free School hawker

Day 3 - visit the wonderfood museums , dark mansion 3D
Flight is at 6PM, any suggestion?

Any advise if the itinerary looks ok?

did not seek seafood. But if you are around Gurney area and want Nonya food, can try Little Nonya, in Gurney plaza. prices are good, food nice.

2) Nyonya food - Got try Perut Rumah Nyonya Cuisine before? Heard good reviews about it.
