what abt shopping malls at Gurney area? if my folks just want to rest in the evening...there is that plaza + paragon side right?

Gurney plaza is near hawker centre. Depending on where you are staying along gurney, it may be walkable...

I took Grab at Arrival Level a couple of weeks back. On hindsight, would have been easier at Departure Level stating outside Old Town.

Grab driver tend to call you to confirm location, so up to you to choose cheaper way.
Standard grab to airport about $22rm.

With elderly, you probably want to book those hotels with separate (standing) shower area. Some hotels/room types only have bathrooms where you need to stand in the bath tub to use the shower. Dangerous for elderly.

Agree, fyi Sunway hotel is standing without bath tub.

anyone did a day trip to the western part such as Entopia, tropical fruit farm, nutmeg farm? What's your itinerary and transportation arrangement? I have 2 kids (8 and 12) and 2 adults. TYIA

I hire a driver to do Tropical farm, goat farm, Audi dream farm, Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si temple.
Start the day at 10am, pass by batu ferringhi request to stop for a paragliding, driver ask us to Entopia, which is not in my plan but we still visit, the entrance fee is very expensive. Next we did follow the plan and I request the driver if he pass by nutmeg farm stop for a short visit.
It's a long journey, so have a good breakfast as lunch will be quite late due to the mountain road and many stopping points.

Did by driving, more flexibility.

From the news, Georgetown seem bad but noted no cancellation of flight.

Airport not affected so no cancellation of flights for now. Flight cancellation is normally a few hours notice.
