not necessary, it all depends on your needs. If u need microphone output, you will need a sound card. My onboard mic cmi, I need to scream into the mic to get a slightly audible recording.
for most who get aego m, they would invest in better interconnects and speaker cables to bring te best of the speakers.
But in general, a decent dac will be better than most sound cards.

Yes it really does depends on your needs, if you game alot, then by all means that a good sound card, but if you listen to lots of music on your pc, then a DAC is more than enough.

waa... brilliant idea. i never thought of that. st*pid me.. haha.. anyway, where to get aego m now? last friday i went to sls and asked the shop at level 1 in front of the lift, the guy there told me they're not a dealer anymore.

any idea where to get these?

T3 has all the convenience of headphone jack, etc. It also has a very strong bass.

But I will still pick Aego M as it sounds the most natural. Best is to audition it and buy based on your preferences.

Hi all, I called up KEC at Adelphi and enquired about the Aego M stocks.. I was told that stocks will be coming in somewhere in mid August. I requested that they update me once the stocks are in. No white color available FYI.

Shocking thing is.. the price.... It's 299 + 7%GST.. You do the math...

That's why no one buy from them... Yes, the stock will arrive mid August as they just shipped out last week. Price wise, I think CE should be cheaper ba.

well I bought a johnblue3 to replace my aego2 satellite vocal is clear and bright !!!

Also trying to use the center speaker option(tomorrow), below is what I search from the net
Why does the Aego M have CENTER Inputs and Outputs? The Aego M is capable of supporting 3 satellite speakers. The majority of people use their Aegos for stereo music, so it comes with just two satellites. However you might want to use the Aego to improve the sound from your flat panel television. Adding speakers at opposite ends of a wide screen television can often make the stereo image sound artificial, and the dialog diffuse to anyone not sitting exactly in the middle. Adding a center channel can fix that problem, and is why home theatre systems have a Center channel. The Aego M allows you to add that channel without the need for a full surround system. You will need to purchase a single accessory satellite to connect to the CENTER output of the amplifier. For most applications, that is all you need to do, as the Aego M's amplifier automatically derives a Center signal from the left and right inputs. (See the photo of the rear panel of the subwoofre above). If you do have a separate center channel signal, then you can use that by connecting it to the CENTER input.The CENTER INPUT swith on the back panel works as follows: when set to NO the CENTER Output is derived from the Left and Right Inputs. When set to the YES position, the CENTER output is the signal connected to the CENTER input. In normal stereo operation, the position does not matter.

No much choices, but to buy from KEC as CE not a dealer anymore. Wonder why only few shops selling locally.

No idea, was told to try KEC when i called up the local distributor. It is located at ground floor, next to the security counter.

Interconect: Canare L-4E6ATG, Satelit: Belden Cat6. Next repleace: Acoustic Zen.
