Just went down to Adelphi KEV Sound System, they have ran out of the Aego M as well :( Any other places/shops that might bring this in ?

what's the recommended combi? i know belden and canare but which model ^^
considering making a interconnect for my aego m to xonar essence ^^

Ok i finally got my Aego M speakers, 3 weeks ago. Bought it at CE, simlim. To those who tried to buy one but its out of stock, its truly unfortunate, but you mustnt give up in trying to get one for yourself.

Personally, i love it. I bought the Go Vibe USB DAC on the day i bought my speakers. I set up on my computer and my god! a vast improvement! The music is super clear, vocals distinct and has a very good soundstage reproduction!

Nice reviews. :)

My Aego M don't sound good if the audio source is sub-par. Hearing music on youtube is terrible as I can hear all the recording flaws, etc.

pairing aego m with a dac would do it justice.

Even my sound card non onboard) wasn't even enough to bring out its best.

Hi,

This is the Aego M owners thread so mind me asking has anyone tried connecting a centre speaker to it. As I noticed that there is a centre speaker output and input behind the Sub so does it mean it can be 3.1 also ?

does that mean even if i have a decent sound card, its still good to get a dac? or is it enough to have at leat a xonar dx 7.1?

pardon me, im a noob when it comes to audio systems..

Im not sure how well the sound will be produced when you pair the speakers to the Xonar sound card, but consider this:

When i bought the GO Vibe USB DAC, i was able to get a richer, cleaner and more immersive soundstage as compared to connecting my ipod directly to the speakers without the DAC. Now, with a tremendous amount of improvement for a fraction of the cost (SGD 99 for the DAC), i personally think you are getting the best price to performance ratio here.

hmm... so is there no point in buying a sound card then? coz if i buy a dac, its enough.. am i right?

not necessary, it all depends on your needs. If u need microphone output, you will need a sound card. My onboard mic cmi, I need to scream into the mic to get a slightly audible recording.
for most who get aego m, they would invest in better interconnects and speaker cables to bring te best of the speakers.
But in general, a decent dac will be better than most sound cards.
