The job training program can help u get a job and take control of your own life?
Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
Take care.

TS works as a tuition teacher as mentioned in the earlier page.

the job training programme is conducted by Peer Support Specialist (one with mental health condition)?

I have a relative who went through that several years ago.

It is called job club(don't know if still the same name) and it is located inside the same block as octave(the occupational therapy dept). If I remembered correctly, that block has a salvation army store as well.

The job training is not conducted by PSPs but by therapy assistants however, the options were quite limited at that time. My relative went through the one on cooking(including prep, hygiene, etc) but there are others like retail training as well. The salvation army store there is manned by such trainees if I'm not wrong. Once training done, the job club will source out suitable(ie those that are more patient) companies for those trainees. My relative was eventually matched as a kitchen assistant.

Bro more questions:

Are the advise of the medical personnel e.gg psychiatrist helpful to you?

What eventually allow you to achieve discharge? How do you prove that your condition have improve enough to be discharged?

Out of score of 5, how would you rate the professionalism of IMH.

Google review only give 3.0/5. Mostly due to inpatient complaining about mistreatment. And its our the official mental hospital in the country. .

There is no test that will say you have a mental illness. But if you have certain symptoms, the psychiatrist will put you into the hospital.

The medical practitioner is not stupid. They can tell who is faking or real. Their advice is to avoid stress. So anything that gives you stress, can make your condition worse.

Tell me how to live life like that.

I am a kind good natured person. I have insight into my illness. Once you fall into mental illness, it's quite hard to find yourself again.

I feel like I lost myself once I was diagnosed. I don't know how to make myself not afraid of things like interaction with normal people.

I feel IMH has a image problem. They need to be more mindful of what their staff says to patients coz they are already suffering. No point to make the situation worse by their harsh words.

Trigger is stress. I know everybody has stress but some people have short circuit in the brain causing hallucinations n delusions. My delusion was that I could talk to God n heard HIS voice in my head.
how does God sound like?

Did doctor advise make you better?

Like they teach u how to manage your situation and u feel its helpful?

I feel the way your mother teach and control what u say is very dangerous, end up, u just keep everything to yourself.

im not expert but i feel u need to say everything out so that other people can quickly snap your mind that this part of your thought is not the real part so it wont plague ur mind.

How is medication? Did it cause you any discomfort?

No, the doctor advice is to talk out your emotions. Like how's your mood, how many hours do you sleep, how's your appetite, how's your relationship with your family.

If the doctor feels like you're ok, n your family agrees to take you back home, then you can be released.

It’s good to hear that you have insight of your condition.

The process of recovery is unique for each person, and recovery can occur even though symptoms recur.

Regarding your suicidal ideation, is there any period or situation that will help to lessen those thoughts? If there is, perhaps you can try do more of it.

I suppose self-admitting to hospital is one of your safety plans/measures, is there anything else that could protect you from harming yourself?

What is the ward in IMH like? Is it like normal hospital B2 is 6 beds, B1 is 4 beds? Then when does the patient stay alone in a ward for isolation?

Are all patients tied to bed to minimise movement?

How do u get admitted to IMH or seek psychiatric help from IMH? Go polyclinic get referral letter?

When Phase 2 started, could have family visits. My family bought me food which I liked. I ate satay, wanton noodles, zinger burger and pizza. My family is quite rich so could afford Western meals at IMH for every meal. Breakfast I had ham slice with oatmeal n hot dog bun with butter and jam. Sometimes there were eggs for breakfast, even scrambled eggs and omelette.

Stay imh need to pay meh?
Can choose yr meal if you pay and how much it cost a day?
