Good news for Aftershock owners
Considering they're one if not the largest "boutique" desktop builders.
Offering this means the end of shortage is near...
Noticed how the 3060ti suddenly became easier to get once the 66ooxt were realeasedmaybe got over supply of gfx cards, trying to offload
I think this is the case. AS definitely sold a lot of systems as a result of people wanting to get their hands on a RTX 3000 series card. So as they frantically secure more GPUs, it is highly likely that the sudden drop in mining demand caught them by surprise and demand for their system has plummet. So now they offer an "olive branch" for their existing customers. The question is how much are they asking for the upgrade? I feel they may have secured the cards at a premium, so it is possible they will still be charging a premium for the upgrade.maybe got over supply of gfx cards, trying to offload
I feel the reason is so that people don't get the card and then resell it as brand new. So they "help" you to install into the system. Moreover their cards should be OEM type, so no nice fancy boxes to pass on to their customers. You have to bring your entire Desktop PC over to AS by hook (courier) or by crook (self transport)? And this for the chance to upgrade to an RTX 3000 series card 10 months after it came out? What an 'experience'.
Worst off, those who will actually be transporting their PCs back, their PCs will not have the same packaging for the internal components that helped keep the parts in place. Without it, their GPU and other components are going to shake a lot without anything to stop the parts from being thrashed around. This is going to be an experience that might bite them in their behinds.![]()
I think there will be people that don't mind as long as the price is right. After all, Aftershock will still need to honor any warranty claim.Dont complain later say zotac arh or PNY
That's why I feel they likely will charge a premium for it. 3060Ti is still not so bad, but 3070 @ 1.3K is a little on the steep side.Pricing wise you can email them to check.
Ive been told its slightly higher than some SLS prices.
