So i bought a full pc system from aftershock since on feb and last night psu kabut with 2 loud pop sound.

And today after talking to the CS through via WhatsApp. I decided to replace another brand of PSU from them.. But im curious why the current brand deepcool is so bad so i decide to peek on it.

Turns out the PSU is not deepcool but rather it is gamerstorm, a subsidiary from deepcool brand and somehow i feel short change.

The invoice stated it is Deepcool 850w ATX 3.0 cyber platinum but it turns out to be gamersgate..

Should i ask them for clarification??
Buy aftershock will tio shocked afterwards

Aftershock is way cheaper than DIY and prebuild these days. Just check hardware clinic. Just need to choose the correct components like motherboard etc

Tbh im getting old and lazy to go SLS to do it. I was a techie when i was younger, working with corbell and asus etc.

Anyway, now im going to ask them why they're giving me another brand instead.. though its subsidiary but i think they should indicate it properly so i can make the right choice before buying.
i also , but SLS got those basic package , then you just tell the shop you want upgrade to what , then they get for you Deepcool 850w ATX 3.0 cyber platinum , maybe you tell them , if dun have , they will recommend others and put on the receipt so it clear cut what they offer you

You know what? Today i actually went down to SLS to source for the particular model. The bizgram uncle was confused because they say deepcool don't have 850w for cyber platinum and asked me to check with the distro tech dynamic that bring in this brand..

Mine also aftershock but so far after 3 years no problem. It's on 24/7 too. Specs are accurate too.

I think companies are cutting costs somewhere. Fight for your right.

Cheaper maybe by spec if you pick good parts but they cut so many corners until you get situation like TS. Part for part they are still more ex than DIY if you cut the same corner they do

Im asking them to change to another good brand .. they claimed the model i had is oem manufactured by gamerstorm and it is make by deepcool ..

Which is correct Gamerstorm is sub brand under Deepcool.
However their products are not locally sold.
Only AS use them for their PC build.

Hopefully you ask them to change for you a Corsair PSU depending which
GPU you are using.
Or FSP Vita which is one of the better budget PSU.

Yeah but they should have indicated this to customer before making the purchase. If i had know that they're using this brand, i should have upgraded to another brand instead.

Now you know why AS is so cheap. They really cheap out many parts.
