Hi guys im new to AIO cooler system.

is this a good choice?

http://www.lazada.sg/corsair-hydro-...ance-waterliquid-cpu-cooler-120mm-203032.html

prefer something that is not so noisy. thanks!

are u going to use it for overclocking or just for looks?and are u going to overclock ur cpu to very high range or to certain range?u can consider this if u overclock ur cpu to a certain safe range not for very high range:s22:

which fan does not produce noise frankly it is a bit noisy when windows start up but u can control it by using speedfan software http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

definitely for overclocking. i can see u r using the h80i gt . how is it?

i understand that there will be noise. jus need to manage my expectation of 'noise'

so far so good.overclocked cpu to 4.8 using it and no issue for 2 days until i decide to overclocked my cpu to sweetspot 4.6 for less noise and lifespan of the cpu.h80i gt and h80 i almost the same.only the tube longer for gt and the radiator abit different.just wait for other suggestion first then u decide

Some AIO might not perform on par when compare with high end air cooler for the same price especially those single rad..... I am out of HW for kinda long but doubt AIO performance increase drastically since thermal limit is still there

as for noise lvl...guess its subjective.....

For water cooling...best is to go DIY...if not just stick to air cooler will do....

V3 alrdy lo.

H100 is the original V1.
H100i is the V2.
H100i GTX is the V3 and the only one currently selling in shops.

There is H100i GTX v2 and also H115i now. I think convergent brought in H110i GTX v2 already.

Oh I didn't realise Corsair refreshed their lineup.

I checked their website: looks like they retire the H100i GTX and rebrand as H100i V2, retire H110i GTX and rebrand as H115i. All tech specs look the same as previous generation.

Are you planning to do extreme overclocking.

This is my view on AIO after using AIO, air, custom loop.

http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/x-dream-i117/

I bought this at Cybermind for $20 and used it on i7 6700K and oc it to 4.4GHz. Runs everything I throw at it. Sure its temps are higher than AIO/customer loop. But its not going to kill the CPU or do any harm.

Unless you are planning for 4.7-4.8GHz and high voltage OC, there is seriously no need for AIO at all.

One big problem with CPU is the crappy TIM between die and heatspreader, this kills of any real benefits of water cooling.

i might be doing at least 4.6Ghz. u think that $20 cooler has some difference as compare to stock cooler?

if that $20 cooler as compare to a $170 AIO doesnt makes a diff on the temp and doesnt kill the cpu. i think i would get air cooler instead.

Should have used the money to buy stock Intel heatsink and take taxi ride home
