No idea of the FW availability.

But indeed the website is up for the global version.
https://www.mi.com/global/mi-aiot-router-ax3600/

It is also not so sure if the China version is compatible with Global version FW or not. Hopefully it is compatible in the case of AX3600.

Price may be much higher though for the global version. S$221 for the global version from Geekbuying.

Almost perfect wifi6 router ... except don’t have USB port and only 3x LAN port.

Ya I agree but I think that 2 of things they did to cut cost down, was the lacked of USB port stopped me from buying it as mesh (though I wanted to) becos then my printer cannot be networked shared

Wah profit margin is a lot ya, if we get from taobao including shipping is 120 so 80 bucks for local storage and covering local warranty

Local official Xiaomi store has also started selling it at $199. Not sure if it's running on Global or Chinese fw though.

If it is global version with local warranty, they have some justifications. Then it is whether you value local warranty and the global FW or not.

For example, if it adds VLAN function for SingTel ONT users, then it may well worth the money for SingTel ONT users.

FYI:
Asus RT-AX86U, China version, RMB1499 or S$300.
Singapore version: now exclusive to Singtel, S$17 * 24 month or S$408. It may be higher later to the general public. So you can say S$108 for local warranty and global firmware (said to be more or less the same).

Again, it depends on whether you want to take risks or not. IMHO Asus router HW may not be that famous in terms of HW quality. So 3 years of local warranty may be important.

TP-Link AX50 Korea version from Shopee: S$159
TP-Link AX50 Singapore version: S$209 when on offer.

So it will depend on people to see whether S$50 for 3 year Iocal warranty is worth or not.

Most of the printers have wireless/Ethernet function now, actually since quite some time ago.

Global Firmware (English) of the AX3600

Nice. Most likely this will be the global version. But better confirm before buying.

It will be good to have VLAN support for SingTel ONT users.

Thank you for the reply. One of my viewers already got the Global Version imported from China and the firmware version is 3.0.16. I hope we get the FW soon so that we can try to install it into our AX3600 and see if it works.

Yah lor. Totally agree. At least got one USB 3.0 port, will be good enough. But if they can have maybe 6 LAN port, that will be fantastic.

Why do you need MESH? Change your printer, problem solved.

Yes they are compatible with each other :s12:. The Global Firmware is now available and you can upgrade your AX3600 to the International version from Chinese FW. I also configured Mesh with the Chinese FW Redmi AX6 with the Global AX3600 without any problems. Please check my video for the details. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing. It works. I could be wrong, but it seems like the split tunneling option from VPN is no longer there.

Thank you for the video. I watched it. Very nice. How's your roaming experience with mesh? My current dual Asus AC68 mesh setup has roaming issues where when it moves to another mesh node, the handover is not complete and it blackholes traffic despite showing connected.
