I only install deflector on top of my compressor against rain and heat.

some people cannot tahan direct cold air....so they deflect it. Making the room cold instead.

u can just adjust the vertical and horizontal vane....

might as well increase the temperature. this thing will block the outside airflow end up freezing the fins as it draws cold air into the system again.

I use this exact one. Yes it does deflect the air. But you have to play around with the angle (up down) and the holes (slide left and right to overlap the holes) and adjust the a/c temp (might need to make colder by 1-2 deg) if not the room can be stuffy.

Good for those who have kids or elderly sleeping near the a/c and cannot tahan the cold air.

I do not have a deflector for the air con vent, but I do use a small circulator fan at the lowest setting to move the cold air stream in another direction.

Yeah effective. I bought and install in my office where the air aims directly at Mr balls. Deflect it towards the side wall and my female colleague was so grateful as her face was in the line of fire.......

Anybody tried this side deflector ( ref the upper pic ) ? Last time, the older model, the vent can be adjusted left/right, THis one cannot, so looking for a deflector if it works well.
