I don't think will use turbo mode. For Gen1, there's 3 additional manual fan speeds. The high fan speed is already very noisy. If go turbo (jet) mode, I think will probably give u the feeling that the motor might not last. Super loud.

The sweet spot is middle fan speed imo. Not too noisy. Still "acceptable (subjective)" perhaps still manageable for bedroom imo - provided not light sleeper.

Gen2 is comparatively "quieter" (still noisy at higher speeds). Is relatively more suitable for bedroom. Can "adjust" more manual fan speeds.

BUT the thing is cannot blast all the way. Under the manual fan speeds, after sometime will auto trigger back to slow auto mode. That's something really turn me off - in the event of haze.

Just personal opinion.

Oh thanks. Just got the Gen 1 to try it out. The full blast is really powerful. But night mode is quiet.

So far Gen 1 works well, tried it at kitchen during CNY reunion BBQ steamboat, the smell all got sucked into the purifier. Clean air. Just only the device is big. The turbomode is really loud and strong, the night mode is ok, not really noisy

Haha. I understand. But it's a one-off thing. Not always. The app says est 144days+ left. Some times the 144 days can stay there for a few days never move..

You know that is just a dumb counter. Counting the usage hour only.

haha. agree. Do u all have only 1 purifier for the entire house, meaning if u want to filter living room and room, just push it around when you need. Or you guys have 2, each per room?

So far 4 units...2 larger ones to cover upstairs and downstairs during the daytime, with all room doors open and 2 small ones to cover the bedrooms when doors are closed. Thinking of eventually getting 2 more eventually 1)to better cover the downstairs and 2) to cover the last remaining room where no one is sleeping. But waiting a bit longer since these can basically cover the whole house liao, now no haze and see what newer models will come out later.
Have not really turn on since the last haze season.

Two units. 1 xm gen 1 and 1 sharp A50.

Deployed both for haze, one at the middle of apartment at max speed, and the other in the room at medium speed.

The A50 is a workhorse. I ran for 5 straight days without stopping. The xm is good for low life cycle cost.

I am an (asthmatic) engineer and I like redundancies, so at least 2 AP (plus spare filters) for my house. 1 is not enough.

Really depends on usage patterns,ap model and convenience.

You can have 5 AP but if they are the underpowered FU28, then what's the point.

You can have 1 super powerful AP and you don't mind moving it around with you it's also OK (no redundancy though).
