Those sliding windows are somewhat leaky at the top and vottom-side if there is wind blowing. Naturally if a strong wind is blowing then there is a problem. During a thunderstorm, if the windows howl, then yes they are leaky.

The good "side-effect" is that there is little chance for VOCs and CO2 levels to rise to high levels.

I'd like to append a bit of comment to my above statement. The new BTOs sliding window are probably very airtight. I know the Pinnacle @ Duxton ones are extremely airtight due to double "rubber" seals all round at any interface including the one that is between 2 sliding panels.

External conditions could be blowing some 40+ kph gusts during a squall (as measured with anemometer) and internal is kosong leak. 50kph winds are actually stronger than most would think, stick your head out of a car at 50kph or cycle really really fast downhill.

There is a 575mm x 575mm version. Previously was all the big ones, which probably would only fit in a big landed property or penthouse.

Filter is 575 x 575 x 69 H13 borosilicate filter material, so it will do 0.1 microns pretty efficiently as well. Choose a version with infinite variable fan speed.

55dB for 750 m3/hr is impressive, though I can't see its dimensions (won't be small).

49dB for 610m3/hr

47dB for 500 m3/hr

39dB for 360 m3/hr.

So it's definitely good for HDB for those super light-sleepers but have a super sensitivity allergy. 39dB is darn quiet. But slight premium price vs our usual fav AX40, XM2 or M8088A. But heck, folks can pay 700+ bucks for a Sharp D60.

At least the filters are great (1 probably F9 prefilter and then H13 main filter) and not very expensive. The H13 is really big and only 239RMB.
It officially states that it is a MERV12 pre-filter, I think that is approx F9 grade. MERV12 = 70% efficiency.

Edit - has a Shinyei laser particle counter module for its PM2.5 sensor.
So...you know...we have gone through this before a couple of times and I have even recorded a vid. So that's a ~ 250 RMB value by itself.
