Post some feedback here after a while. Samsung is doing great and I feel i'm under use the model for my bed room.

Effectiveness is great, even when we do some cleaning in our room. Signal light turn red but not more than 10 minutes under middle fan mode + virus doctor enable.

Don't turn on auto mode as the humidifier function will be active automatically, which we don't think it's necessary for our room level, which is around 70% at most of the time.

For daily use, we switch it on as long as we are there, leaving room door open with a door curtain, under lowest fan mode but it does a wonderful job.
We feel the air fresher and a bit cooler like you're on a mountain, so we are satisfied for this model.

Think it will be better utilize when we get our new home in future. :s13:

i buying quite a lot for my boss. wanna know the xiaomi v1 is the big one right, then the v2 is the small one right? which one worth more to buy, i asking cause it seems TB mark up the smaller one more.

btw, another confusion, someone told me the big one also got v2, is that true? also, the big one and small one is it use the same filter?

V2 the price has gone down from the high ok 1k plus rmb to 899rmb...your shipping cost will be cheaper too.same filters

Xiaomi’s smart air purifier has ‘grave quality problems,’ inspection finds


If you have a first-gen Xiaomi air purifier, it might be time to start looking for a replacement. After months of rumors about quality issues, the results of a Shanghai municipal product quality inspection have come out, and they’re not good. Inspectors looked at 36 different air purifiers and found issues with four of them, including Xiaomi’s. Among the four that failed to pass muster, Xiaomi’s was the only one bad enough to earn an extra note in the inspectors’ report: “grave quality problems.”

Specifically, the report says that Xiaomi’s air filter failed in two categories. The first (noise) may not be an issue for users who’ve already gotten used to the thing. But the other category Xiaomi’s filter failed in is Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). CADR is a measurement of how much clean air the purifier puts out, so it’s not the sort of thing you want your air purifier having a problem with.

The exact problem isn’t clear, though. The Shanghai inspection report simply states that CADR was one of the issues with the Xiaomi air purifier, but it doesn’t go into any further detail. On the air purifier’s official Weibo account, Xiaomi has posted about the new report, noting that the device previously passed a Shanghai Technology Quality Control Department inspection with an A-rated CADR of 409 cubic meters per hour, and that several other authorities rated it with a CADR of above 300.

The company will contact Shanghai quality control authorities to further understand the situation, Xiaomi said.

I have several FU-Y30E oldest 3 years old, on 8 hours a day, so they have done well.

But now, even after opening and cleaning, the oldest still have annoying noises, look like I have to replace. When I go to the usual sites, seems like all out of stock. Like Parisilk, my local Best/Harvey no stock. Is it discontinued or just temporarily out of stock?

Any info on where to buy FU-Y30E.

I know $149 is the lowest possible price but if got for $179-$189, I also don't mind paying since they last for so long. I use 3M MPR 1500-1900 filters on them.
