Wonder if anyone have experience with the Whirlpool AP628W AP. A couple of things I am curious to know is its noise level, replacement filters prices and power consumption.

Looking for something to cover my rooms with areas 15sqm to 20sqm but best is to be without or able to turn off the ioniser function cus did not wish to have an ozone built up within the confine space of the bedroom.

The other AP in consideration is the Philips 4012 (no ioniser ) but the Philips carnival was just over. Just got the Philips 4372 from the carnival for my living room+dining room area and pretty happy with it so far.

Had been checking out the Panasonic FPXJ30AHS because of the advertised effects about its Nanoe feature on dry skin, which is especially attractive to me cus I've got eczema. But so far I can't seems to find much information about the effectiveness of its composite filter in comparison with HEPA filters like how well it is able to filter out PM0.3 stuff.

I noticed for HappyMall, the number of units sold figure have been dropping day by day. Either there are orders kept on cancelling or....

For Daiso, doesn't give me a very good impression towards responding questions via QTalk as compared to HappyMall. Ask qns not all reply, and almost all qns no give answer. Maybe I not his/her customer yet bah.

Other than that, both pricing pretty good. Bought from HappyMall, so far so good. AX40 oct 2015 stock.

Maybe next time I try Daiso and see if any difference.

Sharp also market some of its ap good for skin. It is esentially the negative ion doing the work therefore any ap which generates negative ion or come with humidifier is good for skin. Basically its ioniser ap

Well... after 1 week plus of using xiaomi ap...
It cant instantly remove cigarette smoke.... even closed all windown and leave a small hole from the door...==

How long does it take to remove the odour for your case?

I was wondering is it safe to switch on the VirusDoctor in AX40 despite the differences in voltage and Hz. Will it ended up generate more ozone or other possible negative effects?

Something to ponder... Just curious.

Well... after 1 week plus of using xiaomi ap...
It cant instantly remove cigarette smoke.... even closed all windown and leave a small hole from the door...==

You would need several kg of AC to remove that. And also still be effective after a good few months. Eg the IQAir or Austin Healthmate units.

The AX40 uses a SMPS / switch mode power supply. Ie like your PC like that. Not really sure if the output voltage would vary

I switch it on once in awhile. Personally not too bothered about the v/hz difference. Seems quite small to me, doubt it will affect the concentration levels much... I think the important thing is proper daily ventilation so it doesn't build up.

Probably I would invest another 2xAX40 for my living hall. Not worth to change my existing filters.

Too bad AX70 pricing at Qoo10 not that attractive. And filter not really available. Else a bit tempted. Haha.

I think I switched on more often than you.
Every evening I will switch them on, only off the ionising function when about to go to bed.

XM2 AP is RMB 699. Edit - oh, it will be like last year. Gotta top up the price, due to expected high demand (esp for winter hazy times now)

Apprarently it's not half the performance. Quoted is 330 m3/hr. Actually it tops 388 m3/hr, probably a super turbo mode or something.

Looks like a winner. I can overlook a bit more noise this way, if it's indeed a pocket rocket.

Actually the MFresh M8088A can also get a bit shorter, approx. 15cm shorter. The "empty space gap" between the centrifugal fan and top part housing is a good ~15cm. Not sure if there is any reason for this gap though.

I'm talking about the empty space between the fan and the top part.
