i check this morning, most are selling between >$207 upwards. the listed price canot be traust as u need to check option to bring out the true price.

Seriously.. now how many people want to buy XM2? i got my own kaki asking me to do the procedure for him - purchasing and forwarding to SG. 4PX i dunno can or cannot bring in XM1/2, but for air shipment, that should be the higher of volumetric/weight-based shipping...

i got my stuff in Guangzhou pending being sent back to SG also.
just asked one seller, 740 RMB per set for XM2 inclusive of Shun Feng to send to my forwarder's location. if anyone wants, i'll coordinate but only on a pre-paid basis only. anyone on bo? with all costs factored in, each unit for 200 SGD (i'll also include the IEC 60320 C5/C6 to BS1362 cable too all in. but no delivery hor!... you'll need to come over to pick up from me in Sengkang.

My recommendation would be the M1 model - using Plantower G1 sensor.

G5 sensor is more expensive but doesn't nothing special.

For me i still have the samsung filter for heavy haze, if bth the smell can cut off the AC layer...

If you don't mind the smell and don't mind the slightly increased risk of HEPA integrity compromise due to mold growth (some don't like the bacteria leaks and what nots), don't need to change.

If got elderly, infants, immunocompromised folks like those after major operations, ie any susceptible folks.....don't play with this HEPA integrity risk.

This is especially so if you do not switch on your air-conditioning to a low enough temperature (which also means lower RH), which would dry out the bacterial/virus copies and thus kill it every night. It needs to be below 50% RH comfortably.

I bought the formaldehyde detector from Taobao.

Formaldehyde is a carcinogen.

I've tried both AX40 and XM2 and the finding is upon switching on, the formaldehyde shoot up to 0.154 to 0.19.

Voc at 0.935

Accordjbg to the detector, it's at unhealthy level.

Anyone has similar findings? I've been trying for days with same result.

It probably will really start to have a decent amt of smell by this year end ba. So gotta change then also.

You can swap out to TB filter during the non hazy months where there are not much demands, then use again from July/Aug onwards.
But if you are a super super sensitive pax (you know, some of them in the El Nino and Haze thread) and have a very big room, do remember that the TB filters would drop CADR of about 30%.

Just for your reference. Different people have different thresholds and expectations, and budgets. In this forum, there are stories of > 10k spent on APs (don't even count the filters, each machine's filter change can buy 3 pieces of AX40) and then there are some lower income disadvantaged folks who find it difficult to fork out $200 but the single mum has 4 kids to take care of and if they fall sick it's gonna be hell on earth. You are a mum yourself, you would know.
