If the different counters use different fans, they may have different noise profiles/levels. E.g. the other counter may be using a higher RPM fan, etc. Or the grilles are causing the air to flow in/out differently, etc. A bit hard to say since the counters are not the same model.

The only way to tell if it's a dud is to compare with 2-3 more pcs of the exact same model. If the others are quiter then maybe yours is a dud. But it's also possible they all have the same hum.

so if u want can get Sharp but replacement filters are costly

Actually I'm surprised the handphone mic can even pick up the humming. It's softer in real life (but still noticeable).

U can ask the sellers there ba. Is tempting. But is the AP worth the pricing? They selling $479-$499 excluding delivery charges (before using coupons) Only 3 sellers selling if not wrong. One of them got state safety mark plug, but is the most expensive $499 and no shop coupon. Suggest to ask the sellers to verify if really keen to buy this Pro purifier in Qoo10.

Alternatively, if search harder, can actually buy 2 x XiaoMi Air Purifer Gen1 for that pricing - $239 each +$6.99 delivery (before using coupons) also in Qoo10. That one got state safety mark plug in drop down buy option.

There's also both Gen1 & Gen2 in the auction section currently. Cheaper if managed to get at bidding price (but cannot use coupons). Usually if they provide safety plug, it will show under drop down buy option.

Just sharing.

* Assuming u only want to buy from Qoo10 to utilise the pre-Christmas coupons, to get the $100GC for spending 1k etc

aiyah dun get so uptight about SG plug or CN plug as long as the voltage is the same. just go buy a $1.20 converter from mama shop. if u really see the flat pins as eyesore then go buy a 3 pin plug and change it yrself. 5 min job. Anyway no warranty to the set in the first place, so it doesn't matter if u cut the darn wire.

Accidentally dropped a few drops on the Jackie Aircon foam on the tiles. Wiped it off 5-10 seconds later. No physical action used.

This is the effect of the cleaning surfactants on some of the stains on my white floor tiles. Good stuff. It's definitely way better than your regular soap or detergent.

Just 1 level below chemical cleaning, more than good enough for every 1-2 months DIY cleaning coupled with pressurised water rinsing (eg using a water flosser at PSI 90-120 water spray).
