For me, I compare it this way. I don't think the IQ Air 250 can do 100 sqm.

Electricals, noise all lose.
But IQ Air's HEPA can do below 0.1 microns, way into UFP territory.
0.001 microns tested. Regular HEPAs have not been tested that way, but in theory it should help somewhat, that is how HEPA in theory does, just at differing efficiencies. But in reality, at least over here, we have a few times lower number of UFPs in Singapore compared to PM0.1 to PM2.5 range on both regular and hazy days.
Samsung AX40 and other regular HEPA around high end range of 90+ % at 0.1 microns in real life (though China lab measured at 99% @ 0.1 microns)
IQ Air also have V5 cell and Multigas GC. But that is only if you have issues in VOC etc departments. Most homes do not, mine does not have it, from my basic measurements. It's also tested elsewhere in various studies that non-new houses in China/HK do not have such issues.
Of course, not having a problem (over the limit) does not mean that it's not there. So if you can afford it, why not? For me, I can't afford to run 4-5 IQ Airs and afford the annual costs, and I don't think it's an issue for me.
Smoke source is cigarette smoke. 0.15 to 0.5 microns range. 1000 ug/m3 down to 1 ug/m3 drop time taken
