Sorry, newest info...get the samo air with laser module. Its as good as it can get. Still need to normalize a bit for higher values, but that's ok.

Search on the 2015 consolidated el nino. And haze thread on how it compares with a TSI Dusktrak II and MetOne BAM 1020.

My Ax40 finally here! fresh air is priceless!

Keep it in high, switch on air-con to 24 deg C.

With a fresh AX40 filter, is really song......esp in this kind of prolonged + high level haze episode.

BTW, remember to air the rooms at least twice a day. :)

Hi imacbie
Can I check how long it took for them to ship you after your orders reach their warehouse?
Delivered by their own courier in Singapore? Any notification whatsoever?

Buy the version with Plantower laser particle counter module. (G1 version)

If one is hardcore enough and suspect that high RH is screwing up the readings, give the intake air a twirl with a hairdryer first so that it's way above the dew point, and the readings should be pretty ok. :)

Do we tell the seller that we want the G1 version?

Bro even tot I dint order from you, take note of the consolidated packing from seller to 4PX. Even tot the weight is well within the max allow, it may hit the volumetric portion
Hi. I ordered 4pcs HEPA of 400mm x 250mm x 40mm and
4pcs of 260mm x 260mm x 30mm from the seller.
is the volumetric okay if seller packed into one box? Thanks.

Herrow friends, please pardon my naivety but how can I clean and maintain my ax40? I read this thread and I know the HEPA filter must be discarded after it's usable lifespan and not washed and reused and I read that we have to make sure the fan louvre blades are clean and airflow from the machine is decent.

Can I vacuum it? and as for the casing of the ax40 holding the prefilter, can I wash and air dry that?

May I also humbly ask what class of HEPA is used in the AX40 too?

Is it also recommended to diy and place 3m electrostatic filtrete over the prefilter or is that overkill?

Thank chiu all in advance :s12::o:s12::o

Just for reference, and if anybody else wondering when getting your spanking new AX40 and found that everything in the documentation is in Korean.

Buttons from left to right:
First four is touch buttons: On/off; Speed selection; VirusDoctor On/off (single touch) + filter change reset (hold a few secs); Child lock (hold a few secs)
Last four is speed indicator: Auto; High; Low; Sleep

Lights on the On/off touch button also functions as air quality indicator: blue, green, yellow, red (something like that)

VirusDoctor is Samsung's fancy name for ionizer function, default is OFF.

Just full blast all the way, can't hear a single thing :s22:

Quote for those receiving the AX40 these few days

looks cool but it states that filter only last 6mths to 1yr.

most true HEPA filter will last about the same time as well. I guess maybe HEPA is more common and cheap to replace if you can find cheap source.

on the AX40, can I confirm that the Virus Doctor is active when the light is on under the filter reset button and deactivated when the light is off? Can't seem to find this instruction under the manual at all other than resetting the filter with a long 3 sec press...
