I just came to know about Sharp’s AP with mosquito trap FP-FM40E-B which I would have considered over AX40 even though the pricing is more as I like the mosquito trap feature. I realized that as a result of the haze, the mosquitos are now seeking refuge indoor as well and as such, this machine will be useful for these 2 purposes!

Will you still turn on your AP when not in haze period just to have it catch mosquito?

on the AX40, can I confirm that the Virus Doctor is active when the light is on under the filter reset button and deactivated when the light is off? Can't seem to find this instruction under the manual at all other than resetting the filter with a long 3 sec press...

Someone did mentioned that by default, the virus Doctor is off (AX40)...but then not sure if the light on means the virus doctor is on. ( basic assumption should be light on mean that function is on)
If your manal is for AX41, then there will be no detail on it as there is no on/off feature for virus doctor.

my friend keep insisting that his 3x Sharp AP is 10 year filter no need to change. I ask him those dust or particles trap inside where it goes har? he said Sharp technology lei.....

this haze season I see alot of of my friend being ignorant lol from my colleague being immune , to 10 years filter no need change lol

I believe the 10 years filter is due to some ** sales talk :s8: from where they purchase. When I browse sharp webbie, I didn't see this.

The disclaimer already hinted that 10 years is max life span. Anything below that can happen ranging from 0-10 years and up to you to interpret/speculate. Pure marketing.

I think it's damn misleading...at least you say 2 or 3 years ppl would believe la
I think can compare to free 2 filters by Goni. :s13:

Hi guys,

I'm keen to get the Samsung AX40 but have some questions, hope folks here who own it can advise.

-Does the AX40 have Ion generator feature?
-What's the difference between the GMD and UWD models?
-Where can I get AX40 replacement filters locally?

Thanks!
