From the PDF: "The flow rate of the specimen was less than 1 m3/min. So four specimens were used for the test." :s13:

So in the test they used 4 air purifiers, AND a 'mixing fan', in a sealed ~100 sq feet chamber (assuming a 9 ft ceiling)...

An ideal air purifier should be able to do 5 air changes/hour... (4 of these and an extra fan, in a sealed room) would take ~5 hours to do 1 air change (? based on my sloppy math).

I have one my bedside table. It probably keeps the table slightly less dusty but that's it. If you go on Youtube there's a reason why the demonstrations all put it in a tiny smoke chamber.

need 4 ap and 75 min to remove 90%

a bit lol

Give anyone a leaky bucket (only retains, say, 80% of the water scooped) vs a shot glass (retains 99.9% of water scooped) and ask the person to empty an aquarium tank of water.

Efficiency or volume? :)

need samsung purifier ax40 box

Hi guys, need some help here. Thru this thread, I order an Samsung ax40 purifier from Qoo10 (happy mall). I received the purifier last weekend. It was working fine the 1st day. 2nd day, it started blinking non stop and I cannot select any mode. The seller was quite apologetic and requested me to send back using their courier account.
However, I have already thrown the box away.
If anyone here still has the box to throw away, please donate to me.
Please pm me. I can collect from your place.
Many thanks in advance.

Try this bro's suggestion first:

Thanks Goni for finally solving my problem. To be fair they took 3 working days to reply to my video.

Samsung Singapore (Commonwealth branch) checked my purifier, then they t old me my motherboard is spoilt (just because they want to earn my money $200 to change motherboard SG! ) its either they are very clueless or dishonest and greedy

Samsung Korea and Goni global told me the reason why lights are blinking and not functioning.
Here is the solution
The reason all the lights are just blinking is because the options is unset.

This problem can be solved by
1) Unplug the purifier,
2) Connect the plug,
3) press Menu button + Lock looking button for 3 seconds (it will make a "ting" sound),
4) Press menu button + power button for 3 seconds (it will make a "ting" sound),
Thats your option set.
5) Unplug your purifier and connect, it will work normally.

Hope it helps everyone

Hm.... though people here saying and calling airvax and hanabero lousy, but i feel it's ok when firstly used until the filter turns black...(when turn black, no cleaner air feeling).
It's a chore to wash, so i just change the filter when time is up.
I dun use devices to measure. Just my own nose, level of throat itchiness and skin outbreaks to tell me if an air purifier is working or not.

On the other hand, i feel true hepa filter air purifiers is a must so as to trap all dust there is in the air and clean clean clean the air.

I read from Taobao that Chang Hong is a reputable brand.
Anyone knows if their air purifier is worth getting?

Sorry for a noob question:

If you have a room that has 24/7 air-conditioning running. How does fresh oxygen enter room and how does carbon dioxide exit the room, won't it accmulate?

If commercial, they will have fresh air (filtered) intake to mix with the recirculated air.

If residential, need to make a conscious effort to air, unless you have fresh air intake system installed also.

Used AC for 24/h the higher maintenace such as chemical wash can easily cost you buy new AP as well.
