So which is the preferred purifier of all time
Space ax40?
Cadr who?
Power?
Noise?
Form factor
Maintenance cost ie filter

Will be a good sticky

Ok got the SPL relative readings. This is "amplified" so as to give you an idea.

I have an app that is set to a very sensitive level. So these are not true levels, pls take note. RELATIVE Levels. No questions pls, I can't answer anything about this.

Background level = 62dB

AX40 in high = 75dB (not true level) 323 m3/hr
MFresh M8088A in medium speed = 71dB (not true level). 326 m3/hr as spec
M8088A in High speed = 85dB (not true level).

The M8088A is even somewhat quieter than the Samsung AX40 while flowing the same air, and consumes the same amount of electricity. :s13:

And yes, that slightly quieter M8088A is easily discernible if you concentrate and look out for the difference in dB SPL between that and the AX40

WRX

I think you consolidate your m8808 in a single post rather than have them all over.

easier for people to find.

also wrx

you can compare the noise against a standard vacuum cleaner.

easier for people to compare like for xiaomi vs vacuum is 60 vs 73

Just bought my 3rd AP from Gain City - a Sharp FP-FM40E. Today they have plenty of the Sharp FP-FM40E in stock (probably about 20 sets).

Both the AX40 and Sharp will be used for overnight in the bedrooms while my good old Honeywell will be used more during the day in the study room for the fact that the Honeywell is tad bit noisy :).

Does anyone have any recommendation for Sharp A40 OEM (full set include the humdity) filters from Taobao?
Is there any China Sharp model same as our Sharp A40?

I have a piece of filter (china sharp 180 model) which I bought wrongly last time from TB. I DIY and cut the 1 line bottom away and it's fit tightly into the Sharp A40.

Try this link: http://special.qoo10.sg/gmkt.inc/Special/Special.aspx?sid=2184

Always wanted to do... keep out insects and mosquitoes. Depending on how fine the mesh is, imagine it can kinda work as a 'pre-filter' for the whole house.

Look for some Halloween event. Click to go in. The $10 voucher is there.

Thanks! just ordered the filter from HappyMall
$1/- discount + $10 off..
Dont have Qpoint, giftcards and etc..

Thus total payment for: $54.99/-

My current filter still going strong, I intend to keep the newly purchase filter till next year. :s13:

I have received my samsung air purifier ax40 from goni.

Very very bad packaging.
I got the one with the free filter, and the idiot squeeze the filter into the purifier box.
End up the filter is dented at the top, and the plastic covering (clear) is so thin, that it torn during shipment.

I do not even know if this filter is authentic or not!

lousy seller.

That's a good plan. I bought the set with one extra, so already have 1 standby for next year/season.
Gift cards anyone can purchase btw. $100 worth @ $95 (5% disc).
