Anyone used De'Longhi air purifier with Ionize, went to Courts Tampinese this afternoon , all the air purifier out of stock only saw De'Longhi AC100 at $349.

problem is that when sent for repair...got to send overseas... take time and shipping fees too...

if local got then easier to send for repair...

currently using the Sharp ones...bought the last set at that store...reserve using FB pm

go search sharp authorised dealers...

check out which one nearby and this include those large electronic appliances stores like Harvey Norman, Courts, and so on...

sent them an email and hope they replied fast enough... only Lion City and Harvey Norman and him replied back within the same day... Lion city offer alternative products but cost more... Harvey Norman said no stock and unknown when will came... and him got stocks... so of course took up the offer

Him I found he got FB account... so I liked it PM sent to him with details of operating hrs, payment method... 10 hrs later he replied back and said got stock...I replied him back I want one and timing to go down... He replied that he reserved one for me... include details such as payment and operating hrs.

went down the next day after searching the address... walked around searching for it... 20 mins wasted... walked from PYL MRT station since around 400m walk... no point wasting money to take bus...

found it and inform him my FB name and he already placed the package outside... chatted with him to see if got stocks or not or when coming in and he said warranty dont cover those using step down transformer...spoit meant..said bye bye...

quite friendly and pay by nets... back home...PM him for helping me reserved it... seem got some customers also reserved from him... also see if possible to get another one when stock came...

systematic search of approaching what you want... it could be I desperate lol

place not bad... got those coffeeshop beside so u can eat when u buy it... just need to carry it around... got public carpark in front so u can park there... 5 mins walk only or carry it out to bus stop...20 mins walk... lazy to bring into MRT again...take buses...2 transfer and back home... those old type places... no shopping centre around... even got free toilet around... where do u see them now and free... lol

For now, with haze likely to stay and rain no where in sight

Best to get any air filter out there, especially if have kids or elderly becoz if fall sick, need to see doctor etc

Inconvenient and fear overcrowded clinic etc

Also, working parents may have difficulties getting leave etc

Just my thoughts, no offense

Good news, everything looks good now. Not sure why, wind is still from ENE and NE.

Bad news, currently the fire situation in Riau is worse than June 2013.

From February 20 through March 11, Global Forest Watch detected 3,101 "high confidence" fire alerts on the island of Sumatra using NASA's Active Fire Data. That exceeds the 2,643 high-confidence fire alerts detected from June 13 – June 30, at the peak of the previous fires and haze crisis.

These charts show the distribution of fire alerts in the region.

The fact that the fires are now even more prevalent than in June 2013 is of great concern, especially given the steps that Indonesian and other governments have taken to try and contain the problem since then. Plus, these fires are burning at an unusual time—almost no fires were seen in Indonesia during the same period in 2013. This latest crisis is clearly linked to the extreme drought now affecting the region, which makes burning easier and increases the likelihood that fires will burn out of control.

I don't mind the 3m filtrate but I realize during this years haze the odor is pretty bad compared to last years haze in July 2013

So would be good to have those charcoal odor absorbing filter type

Already have 2 Hitachi Ap-3000 and we always have to turn on the odor function.Btw the Hitachi AP-3000 is about the same shape and size as the box fan but the air filter it came with is like one inch thick with charcoal at the back.

One EuropeAce Ep-166c but it dropped on the floor a week ago and now if we take the adapter out without turning the main switch off you get an electric shock. Its in the Strategic Marketing EuropeAce Service Centre now. Wonder how long it'll take to fix. Open up you can see its a simple connector that can be gotten from SLT but I am not trained in electrical stuff so I don't dare to buy the component from SLT to replace by myself.

Now thinking of making one for the living room where my dad sleeps but he also smokes and also refuses to close the windows for some reason. He sleep only then I can walk to the window to close the windows. This box fan air purifier is for him actually.

If the fan is like 26 bucks the filters are more expensive than the fan.

This guy more solid. he bought the fan and two filters. so the fan's motor no need to work so long and the filters last longer. Only drawback is it takes up more space

Better Box Fan Air Purifier

Got consider before but the fans used in sg not really suitable..You need a real box shaped fan for good circulation, which can only be found in the US,110v..you see the pic in the above link, the fan isnt circle. The fan motor easily overheats also cause air flow is blocked(depends on what filter u use tho)

In any case, i dont think its worth just buying a fan for this
