Same Q, if you have an air con unit, even if its a powerful unit like 18000 btu/hr, would it be cold? Just waste power nia.

Just saw a lot of different models from Philips to Delonghi to Samsung to Rowenta at centrepoint harvey norman. No Sharp.

Novita they have the 611 and 511 there. 511 is 399...covers 50sqm (check the m^3 per hr fig on the website).

GAB now got sell air purifier? Last year I called, they did not sell.

I got 2 Novita 311, bought last year direct from Novita online store.

So glad I found this thread!

I was ready to luge it back from CA next month. But not happy about the tax and $25 domestic flight baggage fee. Still it is far cheaper than the $150 Amazon charges for shipping.

Thankfully, I stumbled upon WussRedXLi's post on the Amazon's thread and it finally lead me here.

I had the 50250S and the step-down in the cart and emailed a CSO... quoted ping81 word for word. Got rejected, replied nicely and they responded they would make a one time waiver! OMG. I'm a happy man now.

Btw, clementiboy and WussRedXLi which pre-filter would you recommend? Sorry if this had been discussed and I missed it.

Good that you got free shipping. Its pay to be polite to the CSO as they have power to make a difference.

I see that you got a 50250 midel which is quite large and it is not easy to get free shipping with this model. Much easier with the 50150N or 17000 model.

Nope, no news yet.

In the meantime, enjoy this documentary with tests done on Ah tiong air purifiers and you can see stuff like Sharp/Philips AC4074 inside being tested also. Skip to 3.50 if you are impatient. Ah tiong follows ISO standards, good stuff.

I think the Delonghi AC230 failed in a certain category!!
Believe it's Formaldehyde. (Jia3 quan2?)

Actually all the purifiers failed to do well in that test i think.
Just that the delonghi was one of the worst performing one.

Why don't test more models. yawn.

I sleep with an air circulating fan, a sharp air cleaner. When no ac, the dyson fan. Loud enuff... Lol
