Air purifier?

Hi,

a lot of ppl got the Samsung AX40 from Korea since it's much cheaper compared to others

I saw at amazon.co.jp that the sharp purifier is also very cheap.

The KC-D70 is very similar to the local KC-D60E but it only cost ¥ 17,780. Together with an approx shipping cost of $100+, it's about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the local model

Of cos, there's the voltage problem, but it can be solved using a transformer. Warranty is another issue, but dep on your luck.

Did anyone consider or actually bought one from Japan?

and LG recommends 3~4 years

The haze never left us, despite some people saying that we are having good quality air already. Though there were some short lull periods.

As per NEA readings for North South East West and Central

The air is forever polluted since.... modernization...

Even on non hazy days, psi hover between 20-50.
If it's zero, then i would say air is good.

After airing and sunning it, having it on now in a room nobody's using... hoping to rid the smell...

I compare with another AP i bought from Qoo10 Vingle Singapore, called airtec VAV.
The area where i placed this AP, the air is fresh... reminds me of cold storage....

press the button once and see if the light goes off.

If it goes off it means the ioniser is on.

See if any bro wants to change out their Novita NAP501i filter since 2015 season really eats up filters fast.

I have an extra ORIGINAL Novita NAP501i filter pack (True HEPA filter and activated charcoal and cool catalyst filter pack). With original Novita box and original plastic packing for the filter, unopened. Bought in 2014.

$50 if interested, PM me.

It's weird. Some filters /APs do have that new smell. But it shouldn't be VERY offensive, and goes away after 24 to 48 max hours of being switched on. The Taobao HEPAs have this smell, but goes away fast, I mean you'd notice it at first and then the next thing it's biz as usual the very next day you use it.....just purified air.

Even my Midea KJ30NV started to give me very fresh smelling air with the 3M Filtrete aircon filter. (granted, my room is very small and I was gunning close to 10 ACH).
No need ioniser or anything. And I used it on Sep 12th onwards, which was the very happening 200gm/3 (AQI 250) period, Sumatran haze.

I didn't realise the AX40 has ionizer. Or rather.. I thought virus doc is not ionizer. Lol.

Anyway, now with a blocked nose, I can't smell the weird smell very clearly, just leaving it on in the spare room for now.

but that room has a musty smell coz nobody's using it and the musty smell is still there.. meaning the active carbon didn't do the job also.
