I'm no expert but a layman's guess is that it probably won't work for normal breeze... there may not be enough airflow to overcome the static pressure (resistance) of a normal HEPA filter. The wind will just look for the path of least resistance and maybe not blow in at all? your living room might just become stuffy?
Simply analogy is you wearing a N95 mask, and it takes effort to breathe in/out through the filter, because the filter offers resistance. If someone blows in your direction, the air will most likely pass you instead of going through the mask.
Nornally, in fact, all the time, I keep the windows closed as dont want the insects and lizards to come in via the corridor.
So, was thinking if opened, even with HEPA, and even with low in flow, may still be better compared to having it cloed entirely?
for me, haze or no haze, windows are closed at night.
But prior to this haze episodes, toilets louvre windows are always there to provide air exchange.
But with this haze episode, i have sealed off even the toilet louvre windows.
So, now with the haze at its tail end, thinking of options rather then 100% sealing off.
