I just went to kim aircon today. The boss seems friendly and workers quite knowledgeable. Overall service is good.

Few months ago, my Mercs had the same problem, KIM Aircon bought the OEM part for me and installed, very nice boss
I am satisfied with their service

nice, I'm having the same issue too. At night it works fine, at noon the cold air is near gone.

what was the issue and how much were you quoted?

Is your condensor (Not compressor) or radiator choked?
If these are choked, it cannot expel heat well. Then it will affect your aircon.
Yes, very evident in the day time.

Nowadays, most ride need to down dashboards to replace cooling/evaporator coil.

Usually it need some cleaning but not defective. Be sure you watch the repair process and take back old part.

If night time cold or when car at higher speed is cold. Radiator fan is to suspect first. This is the most common issue. Sometime is also due to the relay controlling the radiator fan. The relay is around $10.

These can be check easily. Start the car and run the aircons full speed. In 1 to 2 min time you should see radiator fan start turning. You should also hear the sound of compressor clutch kick in and out.

Yes. even normal eo changes. i stick around to learn and ask.

For usual a/c repairs at Yigo for example, been with them for over 10 years, leave keys and go kopi with the boss. :s13::s13:

I just went there as my aircon during afternoon not very cold. One guy only mentioned about servicing and ask me what type of servicing. Quoted me $150 to do thorough servicing (i.e. Removing cooling coil etc) and downtime is 3 hours.

I din go for it cos i got no time. Actually I thought they will help to check first but they didn't.
