jelly is a mixture of water, dust and mold and sometimes chemicals from scented candles, oil diffusers etc.

the faster the fan speed, the faster air is drawn into coil. mine is set to quiet or 1 bar.

its bound to happen. just need to clean it regularly to reduce the probabilty of a choke. at the very least, clean the filter once a month.

What the hell?

it states leak water repair $40 which probably doesnt include stripping if its the back tray thats blocked. just normal suck and drain tube and clean front drain tray. best to call them to check the scope of work.
Another company came down and said very jialat, told me need chemical cleaning and quoted almost $150.

Then this company came down and said the same thing, but they said can do steam cleaning and servicing for $70. So saved me $70+. To be fair, my aircon did not service for 3 years and was leaking badly. Satisfied with their service as they took the time to explain everything.

Use to clear drain pipe with snake wire, always found this kind of jelly slime. Later decided to buy those pipe clearing fluid, never encounter same issue again.

The jelly is call scum. Is from bacteria growth.

You must first know how to dismantle the chassis to reach the internal pipe. Then need a wet vacuum to suck it out.

Don't pour things like bleach or acid as it will damage metal piping.
The correct thing to pour in is copper oxide. If don't have then can consider pour some soap with antimicrobial properties.
Don't put in the drip pan else it can vaporise and you breath it in. :(

Aircon will start to leak water after 30 mins to 1 hr, unit already 14 years old. Possible to self fix? Will it resolve by itself in future? Thanks!
possible drain pipe choke dismantle the unit & clean off the water tray then vacuum cleaner to clear the end of the drain pipe.

If you have to ask, means engage a professional ac technician to do thorough cleaning and chemical wash better.

Simple ac cleaning DIY for ur ac unit filter and also brush dust off fan coil can diy.

Those heavy cleaning like vacuum drainage pipe, dismantle entire ac unit to take out entire fan coil, cooling coil chemical wash etc better leave it to the sexperts.

Pricing wise. Chemical wash around 130 to 160 per unit. Simple maintenance per unit around 30.

Top up gas if not cold around 50 to 70 ba.

Suggest chemical wash minimum once a year if ac unit is use daily.

Simple maintenance u can diy. Like u buy those small paint brush and brush the dust off the fan coil then wipe clean the fan coil.

how to diy suck jelly? i every 3 mths ask the technician suck need pay 30 bucks
If you don't want to suck the jelly or you don't have a wet vacuum cleaner, then you can pour some vinegar or diluted bleach on the water tray (flow by lots of water to flush) once every few months.

14 years old.. just change it, you will likely save more money in the long run from saving from electrical cost.
