Still pending update for mine. Called in and they dont have a timeline for the repair. Guess i will be without my airpods for 1-2 weeks more.

Sadly for mine i received an update to say there is a functional issue and the quote to repair was $254+ taxes. No way i am repairing at such a cost when its almost the price of a new one.

My case have detected spill or liquid battery (not sure what’s that) n cost 1xx to repair but I rejected. Other than that, the 2 buds are ok
will received back later today… and they mentioned there is a summary note to tell u the issues…

*received already. The buds are replaced with 90 days service warraty. didnt know all the while having the static noise and can feel the diff. Happy with it

Oh ok will see what the summary note state, wished they can upfront share if the airpods are eligible for the 1-1 replacement. Pretty sure most will reject to pay for repair and i send in becos the static issue is on and off but not constantly bugging me .

Ya the prob is their summary of the issue you have reported was not indicated clearly on whether they will fix it, but the ones that requires to pay.. very clear hahah

mine was also on and off and I decided to send in since the program is ending soon…

Mine gen1.
no warranty, says its due to other issues. Going to charge $12x + tax.
Decided not to go ahead.
Is APP 2 better and no such issues?

APP2 definitely better in terms of features

whether there is such an issue, tbh, usually will only know later whether got any manufacturing defects hence they may launch a new repair programme

Went today for an appointment with Apple for my AirPods Pro.

Got statics sound on left side but warranty expired long time ago.

The staff took it inside and test for around 10 minutes come out with replacement for both side as I was told both side failed the apple sound test and it’s foc

Ooh man I was so happy but only case retain. But then again it’s another new pair now

went down today to apple store and send in the airpod pro and they found that both sides have cracking sound during transparency mode and it cost 140 to replace 1 side so both sides is 280 almost 80% of new ones,

but i am thinking not to buy airpods anymore, i dont expect them to last forever but this defect, came on by itself and was not due to my neglience,

so disappointed in apple products, somemore i bought apple care for this as well,

can anyone share if they have similar feelings in similiar situation and which ear buds did you switch to ?
