I'm not sure but I think this looks normal.... mine LCD (not LED) last time have bad edge bleeding u can literally see some spots are brighter like seeping out for the corner of the screen, like little stars at the edge..... your seems uniform and some would say it's normal as long as you dont't see what I described in above.
You can try to lower the brightness and see if it's better?

on the side note, shopee now having 2-2 promo, less than $600 for 55" very tempting!!!


by the way, for those who using TCL or Prism+ have the same problem as what shown by kiwi77sg here?

The quality of your unit looks like the Prism in the following thread, which isn't good. As Gain City is also selling Aiwa, can check if the shop have a display unit for u to compare with so can see if u have a lemon or that Aiwa is just bad.

Lcd or ips will have such problems. My high end Sony in 2011 also had it.

Try go for Phillips VA panel.

Recently i bought 55" Aiwa TV and sadly its with back-light bleeding all along the edges. I dont know the seriousness and seek AIWA clarification but insist its not defect, a dispute now.

Can anyway advise how do u define a back-light bleed?

meaning edges got white color?

Bad experience on IPS panel.
you search online can find.
So recommend only those brand applied VA panel. If budget enough, of course go for Samsung. If not TCL /iFfalcon is a second option

Ok maybe reviewing Aiwa (AW-LED55XVC-RM). The issue on the bleeding is indeed present. On both the IPS and VA panels and yes pretty obvious. The model mention above is using VA panel. Do note at this point of writing this TV is going for 729 on Shoppe. Includes delivery and put on table installation. Also take note when making your decision.

My advice is avoid all sellers that don't provide setup but delivery only. Cos I did get another brand that TV is smashed upon arrival. My dead upon arrival TV has been Xiaomi and LG. Is like Lottery. So do give lead time for a round 2.

Controller is IR and mic is on remote. Mic is using Bluetooth. IR needs to be quite direct. This TV is android based and slow compared to my android box. Side note the bigger Aiwa TV is using WebOS. It looks like a 100% LG clone. Yes bleeding is quite pronounced on the 75inch I viewed too.

The whole set in general seems very similar in construction to Xiaomi P1. The wall mount screws are M6. Unfortunately all the I/Os are located in the center.

Mewatch can be downloaded directly from Google play store. No need side loading.

I think is ok to give a alternative suggestion. Cos for this price point I sure consumers will also look into those brands. TCL has app control. Using Magic Control is a big advantage and since iFalcon is sister company with strong social media presence they will share some features. Like Prisim....so many ppl knows the name now. Anyway TCL is really big in China. Also Hisense.
