I think beside the 1st 2 Aliens films, there's not much consistency in the entire length of the whole franchise.
Save for obvious stuff of cos. The lore from the film changes from director to director after Ridley Scott and they all seem more interested in adding their own spin rather then respecting the lore and actually adapting to universe.

Then you have Prometheus series who look like it's gonna change everything but come part 2 the female lead in part 1 is just dead before the start of P2 and the entire film feels like a throwaway after that. I think so far no news on Prometheus 3 but based on comics lore, that white deacon thing is gonna be a mountain of flesh and acid blood, a living one. Wonder if they will adapt that story if there's gonna be a 3.

Then the infamous AVP series. I am not sure if it's Warcraft but with alien skins or sth... The direction took on a very tribal and brutal style of portrayal which i suppose is to be expected since it's a VS film but i tot more could be done on the background of these titular creatures, where are they from, how are they like, etc.

Then you have many hinted species in the film as Easter eggs but ended up leading to nth.

Would be best if someone came in and unify all these scatter ideas and consolidated it under a single direction.

1st and 2nd films are the best of the whole entire franchise.

AvP only became a thing after the Alien xenomorph skull was shown on screen in Predator 2.

Alien 3 directed by David Fincher is the best so far. Very dark and thought provoking.

Erm i might remembered it wrongly but i think the aliens were supposed to be a naturally evolved species in a specific planet that has harsh conditions rather then manufactured via an android that has gone rogue. And then why there was Alien 1 was by the time humanity evolved to a space faring race, other xeno races have already encountered the aliens like the Preds and were engaging in warfare/tribal combat/used as terraforming lifeform etc.

Then you disagree with Prometheus from the start alreadi becoz it redefines the origin of xenomorph/alien. Using the black water, the alien is indeed an evolved species by mixing DNA of diff species to eventually gain a final form in alien 1.

Just my take on the alien franchise, the lore & story shld be isolated from AVP becoz predator was nvr part of the lore. AVP was created due to popularity of the 2 franchises. What Ridley Scott wanted to do with Prometheus was to define & complete his meaning of alien & its origin.
