as for Covenant, isn't that a movie for a different story, probably sharing the same title

prometheus was about the "engineer" and the AI robot "david".

Winona Ryder is in part 4. Alien mama got womb can give birth instead of eggs.
Part 3 is the prison planet one where the prisoners playing catching with the Alien.

Then you disagree with Prometheus from the start alreadi becoz it redefines the origin of xenomorph/alien. Using the black water, the alien is indeed an evolved species by mixing DNA of diff species to eventually gain a final form in alien 1.

Just my take on the alien franchise, the lore & story shld be isolated from AVP becoz predator was nvr part of the lore. AVP was created due to popularity of the 2 franchises. What Ridley Scott wanted to do with Prometheus was to define & complete his meaning of alien & its origin.

I think he is referring to the story arc from the alien and predator novels which touched on their origins…
