@ 1999 sgd the screen is upgraded to 1080p and the ram is at 16gb
no options to go lower that price, not like what we see in offering for the US, Aus

I am a current Alienware user for 4 years with the M11x. Wanted to buy a new laptop and deciding between the Alienware 13 and aftershock xg13. Price difference of $300+. In the end I ordered the Alienware 13 online. If u use MasterCard to pay u get a free sound system worth ~$200. Alienware after sales service was a good experience for me with my m11x. Replaced my lcd the next day at no extra charge because of my faulty hinge.

What specs did you get? I am waiting for the broadwell i7 to be available here in SGP before I get one.

like what I read on the other forums, alienware tends to be on the expensive side but they excel on after sales service and make sure that the product lasts for years

other gaming notebooks have higher specs for a much lower price but due to the heat and the design, the fans are quite noisy and you are lucky if the system will last you 2+ years due to components overheating

I dropped $4999 on a Alienware 18 this year. Those who purchase alienware machine are not going to argue over that couple of hundreds of dollars nor demand the portability of a laptop. How portable can a really superb gaming laptop get? Try stuffing 2 graphic cards into a laptop and lets talk about being portable. After i purchase the Alienware 18 machine this year, it fly everywhere with me checking in and out numerous airports without failing to catch a few "wow". Try opening them up at those internet access point inside the airports and sit next to those Mac book users to give them some love...oh i mean heat. Alienware laptop are superb when come to radiating heat away. Looks and material wise, the alienware comes with a cover made of alloy. For best prestige and "wow" effect, just carry them with you on your arms when you move around shopping mall, airports etc.

nope the current alienware isnt good for 3D work mainly due to the processor. its only using an i5 processor. gaming wise would be no problem but if your using intensive 3d programs that might be a bottleneck to the system. recommend you look for an i7 laptop for 3d work!

The specced out model is actually using the i7 CPU. I've seen in other forums that while the site offers the i7 Haswell, the spec sheet in the receipt upon completion of the order will actually say an i7 Broadwell.

So yeah, you can have i7 on the AW 13. Its just dual core though and at this point is only offered in the US site.

you'll have to add 74sgd to upgrade to 256GB+128GB dual m.2 ssd

did you customise any options? local retail running low on stocks my only concern is the ssd but now saw the 850 evo coming out.. might wait 2 more weeks before hooting the set
