"...pay according to the daily exchange rate reflected." - ChangiPay

IIRC, it was decent, didn't deviate far from what was offered on YT. Just pretty lehceh to use, have to top up.
Hearsay from others, yt forex rate is better. But with 3% charge by China banks for transaction above 200rmb, rate drops.

Changipay don’t have this 3%. Thus I’m finding out on the rate they are providing

Been having problems loading the menu when using Alipay to scan the QR code at some eateries.

Was also unable to pay to KFC after ordering via scanning QR and choosing items within Alipay app, due to international credit card not being allowed. Strange... it was still fine at the end of last year.

Some small roadside merchants don't accept Alipay linked to CC.
Can confirm. You can only use Alipay wallet balance or China debit card to pay to personal Alipay QR codes. There is no way to know in advance if the Alipay QR code you are scanning is personal or business. Just scan and try your luck. Use cash if all else fails.

Most online ordering systems don't support international payment methods, even if you have linked them to Alipay or WeChat Pay prior. Only way is to order and pay at the counter.

This 3% charge is levied by Alipay and WeChat Pay, not by China banks or their government. Alipay and WeChat Pay need to cover the cost of accepting international credit cards.

No need.

I can receive money in my WeChat wallet without a China issued debit/credit card.

Just received yesterday.
Previously, a China issued debit/credit card was required. This is recent. Rules keep changing.

Can you spend and transfer money from your balance? Also, what's the monthly and yearly payment/transfer limits?

Anyway, this is good news.

Alipay TourPass did not support payments to personal QR codes.

People use WeChat Pay Balance to send red packets too (P2P transfer), not necessarily to spend.
