Ooo, i didn't do any research on alishan part, thus have no idea abt zhushan. I stayed at Xiding, which is 1hr away fr alishan, and is pretty near to erziping trail. For 2 evenings i went up to the top to catch sunset & 云海。super swee! It's one of the hotspots for local photography lovers. From my minsu i can see 云海 & sunrise too, depending on weather & your luck.

茶米屋 David's house, i booked via airbnb, $297 for 2 nights including airbnb's service fee. I booked in Dec, for my feb's trip. http://www.alishan-davidshouse.com
The owner will drive u to the erziping trail, teach u how to make aiyu jelly, and even bring you to their 兰花园 and 茶园.

It is Eryanping Trail. Erziping is in Yangminshan.
