I guess users still on Asus x79 series like me are more or less f$&K as we will need the BIOS update with the microcode?
As of now, you are double ****ed because:
1) Intel has not released any microcode update for Sandy Bridge\Ivy Bridge yet.
2) ASUS doesn't seem to be providing any BIOS update for pre-Skylake (except for two late released X99 boards).

Is This Intel Leak the reason why I get 80c on my I7 4790k while playing BF1 Turning Tides DLC on full load in 1440p ultra settings?![]()
Suggest you check your cpu cooler mounting, change thermal paste, clean the heatsink/radiator.Is This Intel Leak the reason why I get 80c on my I7 4790k while playing BF1 Turning Tides DLC on full load in 1440p ultra settings?![]()

Wah recently my Firefox browser was updated to mitigate the two vulnerability issues.
Seems to cause constant lagging in loading issues. I guess have to live with this performance hit until I upgrade my CPU again.![]()
