:ROFLMAO:

The cheapest board will be GGB B550M DS3H, saw it @ $130

Means your total damage will be 287 + 130 = 417

Performance is not bad, C23 multicore 11k+ , single-core 1.5k

GGB B550M DS3H is sgd80 board during black friday and you get it less then 100 in shoppee (Export set). Bad VRMs for ryzen 9 upgrades, up your budget get b550m mortar (12 phases)- ard 150 or GGB B550M Pro-P (10 phases, Export Set) ard 100 with vouchers in shoppee. I m using b550m mortar waiting for 5950x to drop further when Ryzen 7000 launch.

Pairing a budget MB with 5950X does not make much sense. You can consider selling the MB and jump straight to Ryzen 7000.

The MSI MAG Mortar B550M is a good board that should support the 5950X with no issues. However the main question is whether you need that many cores. I don’t know what is your use case, but I generally feel that a good 12 core processor is more than enough for most users. It may not offer the best in class single core performance at this point in time, but at higher resolution in games, that is a none issue.

While on the topic of picking B550 MB for high-end AM4 CPUs, let's look into the old stuffs again.

3950x is not 5950x ... 1 hour blender test dont reflect anything.. u know what are u talking or not? I current own quite few 3950x doing mining and I monitor motherboard prices and durability to ensure profitability.. Each time a motherboard die, I need to deduct from my mining profits. Mortar and Tomahawk has the best VRM! No horse run.

know abit, behave like expert.. seriously behkan.

I feel I will avoid the absolute low end boards. Most manufacturers tend to cut too much corners just to segregate the low vs mid tier boards. I think the issue may not be limited to just Gigabyte and ASRock. Even Asus Prime can be quite poor in value and work badly.

This is an OC-ed 3950x to test the motherboard VRM capabilities. It still scales to show the board that has the better VRMs.

Huh? Nobody said it is horse run?

I think there is a misunderstanding. @Phen8210 is trying to show the capability/ value of the motherboard build. Just that the review was done with the R9 3950X. Chill man.

LOL.. The bugger recommended Gigabyte board at 130 that can be bought for less then 100. Then current generation for B660 & B690 is dog*it as well.

Now is not black Friday. I am searching the price at current and stating it as it is. For MB, it is not recommended to buy an export set.

The response was for the cheapest board to pair 5600G.. nobody said to pair it with 5950x.
