Is the T series better than the E series?

Definition of better? Price wise, the E series is better. L and E series are budget versions of the T with more compromises and fewer configuration options. Definitely plastic chassis.

Build quality wise, the T is better. The T series is their traditional series inherited from IBM before they branched out to other sub-brands, so now the X1 series tops the T-s series, with the T (non-s) having less premium materials and are slightly heavier. T-s are thinner and lighter with a magnesium alloy/carbon-fibre chassis; the T have glass fibre PPS with rubber coating for the chassis.

An interesting resolution to Intel’s claim about its processors being better than Ryzen 4000.

https://www.extremetech.com/extreme...-huge-ryzen-4000-performance-drops-on-battery

We do not consider Intel to have proved its thesis — namely, that we should regard “up to 48 percent slower” as a reasonable evaluation of AMD laptop performance or that performance testing on AC power is so unimportant as to even consider discarding it, under any circumstances whatsoever. By sourcing 80 percent of its AMD systems from Lenovo, Intel guaranteed that its Intel-versus-AMD turbo behavior comparison would effectively be an Intel-versus-Lenovo comparison, with a single HP system tossed in. This limited comparison does not support the claim that Intel’s findings negate AMD’s product stack, and it does not validate the sweeping changes Intel believes should be made to product testing.

Somehow, it had instead exposed Lenovo for the poorer performance decisions vs power efficiency. Something for us Lenovo users to keep in mind.

Reportedly shipping from March according to some international reports, but dependent on whether Lenovo Singapore would release those models. Also, bottleneck of chip supplies at TSMC end due to an explosion in demand will slow down release for a while.

Thanks for the detailed info.
Looking for 15inch for work purposes and not gonna really bring it around. But T15 is too expensive.

If mobility is secondary, consider the Legion. It should exceed your expectations.

Why buy? Wait for Zen 100. Will be better than what's only the third generation :s22:

Honest advice, if you need it, buy it. If you don't need it, don't buy. Those who need it will know if they need it. There is no need to repeatedly dissuade users - their money, their decision.

If you are still interested of the older model and see no point to wait for delivery since ryzen 5000 and rtx 3000 series coming.
