Hi Trazora... back on the same topic... if the focus is on retail purchase at capitaland mall (just for the next 2 months)... eg. furniture and electronics... with and aside from shops’ cc promo... are there any better alternatives?

Anyone using this card? Friend was telling me if spend frequently at capitaland malls... rebates (after converting from star$ to voucher) you can get is much better than other cards... u get star$ 2 ways... from scanning receipts as well as when they are charged to the card...

You should not be looking at getting star$ 2 ways for this card, as even cash or other cards, you still can scan your receipt for Star$ points. Unless your total spending is <$1000, which nets <5k Star$ for $5 voucher redemption.

If you spend >$1k, UOB Visa Signature also gives 4mpd or 10 UNI$ per $5 spent for paywave transactions. 4000 UNI$ can be exchanged for $100 cashback. Not really for every amount, but that is like 5% cashback, plus your scanned receipt for Star$.

Depends on Amex T&C when you want to reapply. Last time, the bonus was if you didn't hold that particular card for 12 months. Now, most bonuses are "new to American Express" i.e. no cards with them for 12 months.
