Any recommendation android box for 4k soccer(epl).
Thanks alot
I recently subscribe to tvb anywhere+ but only can use my mobile phone or iPad to watch and not able to cast to tv. Can check if anyone knows if Mi Box S can install tvb anywhere+ app to watch on tv?
Yes. Mi Box S is okay. You can install the app directly on the box.
Noted, thanks alot for the advice.Box is not the issues here, for example, you can always get the best box available which is Nvidia Shield TV.
Where do you get 4K EPL source is the real issue.
Legitimate source like Singtel Fibre and SingTel Cast are not 4K, 1080p at most.
If you are willing to use VPN, then there are overseas sources like Now TV Skysports (UK), NBC (US) and PPTV (China), etc. Not so sure if you can get 4K with VPN.
And forget about those illegal preloaded boxes and IPTV packages if you want to get quality audio video experiences. They are not stable and will not be of 4k quality or even 1080p quality.

Hi, helping my parents decide on a TV setup. Currently they are using Starhub TV (the one with set top box) with live channels. Want to transition to Android TV (Mi Box S) with Netflix. A few questions:
1) To let them continue watching Mediacorp free-to-air (Channel 8 etc), best way is to buy the external antenna?
2) Any way to still have the option to watch Starhub's live channels (KBS World, Nat Geo etc) without subscribing to their whole set top box + Starhub fibre BS? Saw that there is a Starhub GO app but looks like its only for mobile + still requires an existing Starhub TV subscription?
Thanks!![]()

1) If you TV is digital ready (with DVB-T2 tuner, yes it is good to buy an antenna.
Alternative you can cast from phone if you buy Mi Box S. Just install MeWatch from the phone.
2) You can cast from phone to TV if you buy Mi Box S. Just subscribe Starhub Go, no need to subscribe to Starhub Fibre TV. You can also check out SingTel Cast to see if they have a pack suitable to you. It may be cheaper. No need to subscribe to SingTel TV either. You can install SingTel Cast on Mi Box S directly.

most people use starhub set top box for live channels, netflix is VOD, quite different from live channels.
Many people can't change the habits, including young ones. e.g it is better to use VOD to watch drama/movies, but many people still using movies channels, like HBO to watch.
Not sure whether your parent can adapt to the change, if yes, android box is a good idea, if not, better stick to starhub box.
Indeed, it will take some getting used to. But even they have been complaining quality of Starhub cable shows have been going downhill so maybe they would like a change too.
No idea and today totally cannot go in already..Jin Cham. Hopefully they come back soon.
