if you think is is crap
i close this tread.
1st thing 1st. If you have up to 1k you are way better off with an intel rig. The current a10 6800k is just on par with an i3.
2nd. A htpc dont require an onboard sound card. If you use a good amplifier or home theatre at home, using a hdmi or coaxial cable, you bypass the sound to the amplifier to do the work.
3. 16gb of ram is retarded if you aint doing photoshop, or any rendering stuffs. A good 8gb is way way sufficient and still have lots of access to be spared.
4. If you are looking up for a gaming setup with $1k you could land youself with a way much better intel rig.
5. We are here to recommend and guide you the correct way rather than steering you off to some other nonsensical or no logic path.
6. It is not crap. It is more important that you read up the current apu a10 6800k first rather than saying you wanna build an a10 6800k first. It is different from those fx series chip.
7. Be it a h60 or a h80. If you aint overclocking you dont need that.
8. Lastly if you are looking for a htpc cassing that is to make it dont look like a pc, then it is more likely you will go into an itx setup. Next is if an itx setup is use you also would not be able to add a sound card due to lack of pcie x1 slot.
