Another instant water heater thread

Changed mine this year from Rinnai to Toshiba.
Experience with Rinnai wasn't too great, temperature knob has issue, any adjustment will need to push the knob in hard while turning. I suspect it's due to free play between the knob and the temperature control mechanism. Some time this year, there's water leakage from the heater and hence, the switch to Toshiba.
My advice is to get one with electric temperature control for constant water temperature regardless of the incoming water source temperature. For my previous Rinnai heater, I will need to adjust the temperature as and when the weather changes which affects the temperature of the incoming water source.

No Issue.
Can elaborate what u mean by spoilt ? no hot water ?
New heater is cheap but proper installation can cost more than the parts and can be messy (hack false ceiling to remove/access)
I took a chance and found someone to replace the heater element (which caused power trip when I turn on heater). Parts + labour about the cost of a new heater w/o installation
Found on carousell, pls do your due diligence.

the common bathroom no more hot heater despite the light lighting up when switched on.
the master bathroom, when it's switched on, the water heater generates a weird loud noise and the first flow of water is extremely hot.
I was advised by the electrician who replaced the part in the common bathroom's water heater to replace the master bathroom's water heater.

Btw, it's a replacement, not NEW installation. Huge difference.

this happened to me before.
but i bought the float switch (something like magnet) and fix myself (just unscrew/ insert the magnet /screw back.
cost me only $10/- if i remember correctly

How do you know? Wah piang eh. It's not difficult to be qualified in Singapore. You can always check for their license card.

your Rinnai is electric? I thought Rinnai mainly is gas heater
Yes, it's an electric instant water heater. I did a quick search on Lazada, the model that I owned is still available.

Those shop recommend one are usually handyman, ai pee ai qi would not pay for licensed electrician. Want reputable one, can try homeone electrician

Certain things no need licensed electrician. You change light bulb, transformer, etc need licensed electrician?
This one is just to replace the instant heater, not adding power points, rewiring, etc.
